Olivia has been doing some things and I'm working back up on dosing. Most recent thread is here. So, now we're at 2.5 for a few cycles and I'm seeing higher preshot numbers the last few checks, but tonight a nice blue at +3.25!

I was excited to see a low hundred at +6.5 last night and I fed a small snack of regular friskies. This morning we're up to 508. Is there a chance she went too low or is this maybe a bounce from the lower numbers in general?

That was a nice number last night - almost a green. :) The bounce number this AM is probably due to her reaction to a low that her body isn't used to even if it was very safe. It's also possible that the snack might have shortened the duration of last evening's dose so she's higher this AM. Keep the 2.5 u for today.

I thought that is what you would say and I shot the total dose.

PMPS and +2 are the same. Pretty interesting, what could that mean?

For me, that means I get a +3! (when I'm shooting low.) ;)

I assume you fed her and she ate well at shot-time? Usually, one would expect a food spike at +2, which would then begin to come down around +3 as the insulin was setting in. Since you shot in the yellows, I would not be concerned, but it's certainly something interesting, and I know how you love data!

If she didn't eat well/much or ate something different than her normal food, that could make the difference. ?

She ate the usual amount of her usual food.

I have 2.5 civilians as well, so I usually leave all of the leftovers out and they usually finish up in the first half of the cycle. 3 cans of food + extra water for all of them. She was having some leftovers just before I tasted, so we'll see what happens.

    So . . . two more cats and a dog? :D

I've read it takes about 15 minutes or so for the food to impact the BG, so depending on how much of the leftovers she was having at test time, that may show up in the next one.

@Jenna Josie two more cats, a kitten that needs a home, and two dogs. Too many critters!

A friend of mine who fosters says that the best way to get a kitten adopted is to take it to a children's sporting event. All those little siblings dragged along and bored on the sidelines, public crying when Mom/Dad say "no," and then next thing you know, kitty has a home! :D

258 at +3 so, I guess she's just going to hang out around the mid 200s for awhile, but I'm not worried.

That's a smart idea about the sporting events!

I was able to get a +7 today and Olivia is at 85!:cat: I'm doing a little bit of celebrating even though we've had some PS struggle numbers. Maybe I can get a curve tomorrow.
