I thought Olivia looked like she was going to have a nice cycle today. I checked her at +4 before I left for the afternoon and I was home by +9 and she seemed to be well, I thought I'd spare her some ear pricks. She started trying to eat some non-food items around +10.5 and then vomited a bit of white foam. PMPS was high, but appetite and energy level are normal. Any ideas?

Sometimes that type of vomit is empty tummy acidity vomit. Sounds like she was getting very hungry around +10.5.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. Could that have caused the glucose spike?

I often notice with Spot if he’s hungry to the point of vomiting clear fluid or foam that his numbers shoot up. I imagine some kitties are more sensitive than others when it comes to fasting... I try to not let Spot go more than 3 hours or so without eating. “Try” being the keyword.. he may not cooperate if he’s feeling crumby anyway, which makes it hard to pin down exactly what’s causing the vomiting.....
