    So we just got a bottle of Methyl B-12 to start giving Victor for his neuropathy, and I just wanted to make sure it's the right kind and everything. The front of the label says Methyl B-12 with 2500 MCG below it;
    under Supplement Facts on the side, it says Vitamin B-12 (as Methylcobalamin). Other ingredients are: Cellulose, Dicalcium Phosphate, Titanium Dioxide (Natural Mineral Whitener), Vegetable Acetoglycerides. It also states: No Sugar, No Artificial Colors, No Artificial Flavors, No Sodium, No Wheat, Gluten Free, No Corn, No Soy, No Dairy, Yeast Free.

    We had to get it at a GNC store and they suggested we give him only half of one to start with to see how he handles it. Would you guys agree with that? And from I've seen everybody mention before it can be just crumbled into his food, right? How many times a day should we give it to him, and are there any other instructions we should follow? Thanks guys :)

    2500 mcg = 2.5 mg. The Zobaline tablets people mention here often are 3 mg so yours is close to the full dose. The ingredients list is fine. You could try a half at first to see if he's OK with it. It should be tasteless and easy to crumble. It should also dissolve readily in a little water if you want to try that sprinkled over his food. It's a water soluble vitamin so he'll pee out any excess.

    @Kris & Teasel We have given Victor half a tablet of the B-12 for two days now and he seems to have done fine with it, so when do you think we should start giving him a full tablet?

    You could give it any time now. It's not usually a supplement that bothers kitties.

    I'm glad you're trying 4 u again. Give that again today AM and PM and if you don't get low blues at least go to 4.25 u tomorrow. That's a small increment - only 6.25%.

    @Kris & Teasel If you see this in the next few minutes could you tell me if Victor's AMPS reading of 345 is okay to give 4.25 u?

    I'm glad you went ahead with this dose. Generally it's when you start getting low yellow or high blue PSs that you have to think hard about whether to give the full dose or slightly less. There isn't usually a clear cut answer in those cases - you just try something to see how it works out and be prepared to monitor more carefully.
