Yesterday - http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/10-10-pretty-girl-amps-481.204623/ Pretty Girl ate several small meals last night that I got up and fed her - mostly plain turkey. She seemed good this morning before eating. She ate some turkey and some canned food. I gave her the current dose of 1.5. She doesn’t seem too good now an hour later. But she just got up and started eating more canned food so that’s a good sign.
This is all good! We have got to get her into some better numbers. Those high numbers make them feel icky.
Thank you! She seems to feel less icky as long as I’m sure to feed her myself (as opposed to grazing) every 2 or 3 hours, presently mostly plain turkey. It’s when I don’t or can’t feed her a meal that the numbers seem to go way high.
I hope your schedule will allow you to feed her yourself. Would be nice for her numbers to come down.
Thank you. I have really just figured this out in the last couple days or so. And good news - my schedule has changed this week and will allow me to feed her more meals myself.
Thank you! We haven’t found any lower numbers yet today that I know of. But she seemed much better in the middle of the cycle. But ..... Eureka! I found a wet canned food that Pretty Girl and BFF SweetPea will eat enthusiastically ... at least for tonight. Both ate more wet food than they have in a week or so! And that was after eating a good bit of turkey. I could tell they really liked it by how much they ate and by how much they licked their lips afterwards. Pretty Girl got her current dose of 1.5.
