    How are you doing today?

I see blue, and I see some progress, she's clearing those bounces more quickly it seems.
If she's still blue at Pmps, could make for an interesting Friday evening.

I know previously she's gone otj more easily, but don't loose hope, :bighug::bighug::bighug: I know how depressing those reds can be, we had a sea of red black and pink when BFG started on insulin, I was beside myself.

Has she had her mouth checked recently?

Why would her mouth need checking?

Mala has begun to decide she doesn't like her ears getting pricked. I have posted a +11, doubt I can get a true PMPS.

She flicks her ears, yells at me, tries to push past my hand. Total torti moves.

Hey Renee. Inflammation with the gums and /or a bad tooth would cause the BG's to be higher. Teeth/ gum issues is the number one reason why a cat loses remission. Just ask Bubba.......

Mala lost remission because she got a dx of CKD and the vet prescribed Science Diet k/d. I assumed, since this vet had diagnosed previous falls out of remission, that he remembered that she was once diabetic. Nope. Found out - too late - that k/d is really high in carbs.

She's off the k/d and eating mostly Nature's Recipe grain free chicken and chicken liver. It's pretty low in carbs, but under 200 for phos. She also gets Weruva when she won't eat the NR.

Her teeth will be checked Thursday. New vet. We'll see how it goes with this one.

Well, at least you know that she is high enough to give insulin should you not be able to get a PMPS. Bubba goes through periods like that with the testing......

Good thing too. I'm going to be late for a birthday dinner for Davey so that someone can be home to test, feed, and shoot. Friends don't understand why I may miss the party to care for a cat.

    *sigh*

Real friends understand. All mine know that my getting together with them in centered on T/F/S

ETA: When they are running higher, if needed you can always give the shot 15 -30 minutes earlier. You wouldn't want to do that if they were running lower.

Up into the yellows early after the PM dose; back down into surfing region mid cycle.

Little girl is demanding her extra meal now. Loves the Weruva low carb stuff - begs for it and devours it with happy smacking noises. then returns to me to breath into my face.
