Ok, so when I checked on him at the +6 last night, he was at 229, so i made the decision to not test anymore. Over night, he ate the 2 foods that contained gravy.

This AM he ate some Friskies. Now, its a can I opened yesterday and so I microwaved it a little to get the chill off. Apparently, Rex and Raptor don't like warmed up Friskies? Whatever. They have their dry, they will live LOL.

Gordy was his normal purr-y self this morning. Only grumpy because I removed the self-groomer from the wall. (He goes so hard and serious on it, I am worried about his sutures.)

ETA: i gave him the rest of his BFF can from last night since he didn't eat all of brekkie. Man, that stuff is a winner. I'll definitely have to invest in some cans just to have on hand.

He is eating, just not a ton. I'm gonna head out in about 10 minutes to go to pet store to grab more tasty foods.

Rex and Raptor did fabulous at their vet appointment. Here's their verdicts:

Raptors eye lid is stuck to part of the outer eye. I don't know the official terms, but you know how you can lift the eye lid away from the eye? It doesn't do that. Vet said she isn't sure if its the cause of the watering, but we are gonna watch it. She doesn't think surgically detaching would necessarily do anything, so we are just gonna watch it more. Raptor was given some ABs (they are so little!!!!! Omg!!!! Lol) mainly because her lymph nodes were swollen. Vet said it could be from her gums being inflammed from teething. She hasnt lost her back baby teeth yet.

Rex... Rex is such a good girl. They put some kind of drops in her ear because they were dirty? Vet thinks the hair loss could be from mosquito reaction. No signs of fleas, ringworm or mange. I was told to put a little cortisone ointment on the spot everyday to see if it helps. She was also diagnosed with acid reflux. (At least that's where we are starting at.) I got some Cerenia for her in case we need it and she is gonna take Pepcid everyday for at least a month to see if she improves. Its funny, Rex will swallow a lot when she gets revved up and purring. I just thought it was her and that's just how she is. I guess its not normal. (Vet noticed the swallowing herself.) If she has an episode of the extreme nausea while on the Pepcid, the next step will be to try Budesonide. Rex will also need a dental soon. She has a spot... furcation? And some milsd tartar build up. I'll probably have to do a dental for her in like 6 months.

Both kitties got A+ for their behavior and they got peacock feathers. Raptor has already destroyed one and we've been home 15 minutes. *sigh*

He really knows how to test me :nailbiting: he had just had a BFF snack, so I gave some HC with a little maple syrup. He is picking at it slowly. I don't have any higher carb pates, so its the Cheese lover FF I normally give. (Anyone know of any that are easy to get???)

Hopefully he stalls out some because with him not being as ravenous as usual lower numbers really freak me out.

And this is at the lower dose!

Doc doesn't like gravy foods. My 'go to' for higher but slower absorbing carbs is Blue 'Basics' Indoor Turkey & Potato entree. The potato raises Doc without zooming him up. Another one I use when I need a bit more 'boost' without zoom is Weurva 'Paw Lickin' chicken' (Chicken recipe in gravy). It's more just plain shredded chicken and water but uses potato starch to hold it together.

I tend to avoid Blue Buffalo, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a few cans. For some reason, Gordy isn't a big fan of the shredded chicken stuff. The other cats love it.

Its called BFF, or Best Feline Friend, and its a sub-brand of Weruva. It use to be only really found at smaller pet stores, but now Petco carries it. :)

That's the only Blue I buy, not a big fan either but no one else makes that particular combo. Doc isn't a fan of the shredded stuff either, he really only eats it if he's running low and his body says 'eat'.

Glad Gordy is eating for you and came up some. I hope the pepcid helps Rex and Raptor's eye will be okay. Sending prayers.
