Has anyone used the Nova Max Link Meter? I am reluctantly preparing to switch over from an Alpha Track due to rising strip prices, and spotted this on the ADW web site. The meter and 50 strips are just $22, and strips alone are $13 for 50. Says no coding and small sample needed. Is this too cheap to be good? I am in the US and need to be able to order online. Thanks for any input or other suggestions.

I use Nova Max not the link meter though. I use the Plus cuz I needed a ketone meter.

The strips are cheaper than the ones for the confirm on ADW and I just got 300 strips for $37 from Wal-Mart on line. Just arrived today. I don't care for meter itself for daily use but you can't beat the price so I will continue to use it.

Could I ask why you don't care for it as your default meter? Thanj you!

It's to bulky for me, Olive doesn't keep her head still. And it doesn't zip the blood in fast enough.

I started with AT (years ago with previous kitty) and I find that even easier for me. But switched to the micro (again yrs ago) that is now discontinued. I find the more narrow meter easier for me to manage with a fidgety kitty.

I will continue to use it though for main meter since strips are cheaper.

Thank you for the input. I really like my Alphatrak but the price of strips and the fact that most people here use human has me wavering. My vet prefers AT also, but I'm sure she'd understand if I switch.

The Nova Max is very similar to AT in size. If you like the AT you will like Nova Max. I'm just use to smaller.

I loved the NovaMax, but you can get Freestyle InsulinX strips for your Alphhatrak 2 meter for a really good price and stick to the AT. You should be able to get 100 strips for $30 or so.

I have been using those but the price is creeping up. Last night $50 for 100 on Amazon. Much better than $1, but still spendy.
