Hi everyone! I home tested my 10 yr old baby for the 1st time today. I used a human monitor OneTouch Verio and came up with 214 reading. Although I have put my cat on low carb wet food diet, she as yet,is not receiving any insulin. How do I find out if 214 is a good or bad reading? Is their a chart or something that will tell me this? Thank you!

Congratulations on your first test! Your glucometer is the best tool to keep your kitty safe and healthy.
Your kitty's BG is too high but not terribly so. Normal BG on a human meter is 50 to 120.

I am not testing my cat but my vet said his count was 11 and should be between 4 to 8. No one else seems to have numbers like mine. What is BG. How do I find what my numbers mean?

BG means "blood glucose". Your vet is measuring in mmol so I take it you likely live in Canada or the UK. The other numbers you see here most frequently are used in the US. To convert a US number to the equivalent of yours in mmol, you would divide the US number by 18. To convert your mmol numbers to US, you'd multiply your number by 18.
I see you have posted over on the Health Forum which is great!
