Excellent! :woot: Hopefully Phoenix is going to realize soon that it's not all that bad.

Thanks everyone. I spoke to our vet and she wants to lower his dose to 1.5.

Hi Silvia -- I was just looking at your SS. I'm a little worried about how low Phoenix might be going at nadir. You don't have much data to show that on this dose, and given the PS numbers, you want to be careful that he isn't hitting lime greens in the middle of the cycle. Any chance you can get some tests this weekend to see what's going on in the +4 to +7 range?

I just tested him at +7 and he gave me 112. What do you think?

That's a good safe number but it's best to consistently aim for a test in the middle range from +3 to +8 or so when you're at home or every evening before bed when you aren't. Try to fill in the gaps on weekends. The more data you have the more you learn about your kitty's specific patterns. :)

I find myself lowering the dose every week due to his consistently low numbers. I couldn’t test as much this busy weekend but I got a +4 reading tonight which was pretty good! He hasn’t had his last can of food yet so we should be climbing up soon. He’s been so good.

Yes, as much as possible, you want to grab mid-cycle tests. It's hard with work and sleep, but they are the only way to know what to do with the dose. Hopefully this coming weekend will let you catch some data to see how the dose is responding. :)
