Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let you know that Oliver went to the bridge last night. He was diagnosed with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy this spring and by the time it was discovered he also had congestive heart failure. It's funny how his diabetes basically went into remission when he got sick. The heart meds made his already compromised kidneys fail. We had a very kind vet to the house, who transitioned him right here at home so he had no stress at all, only welcome relief. I didn't post often but Ollie was diagnosed with diabetes in 2015 and this group was invaluable in helping me to control his diabetes. I didn't always follow the same rules as everyone else, but your protocols guided me always and my vet was very impressed with the spreadsheet, which I printed out and brought along for every checkup. Thanks so much to everyone and anyone here who might have helped us along the way. Even though I wasn't on here much, I very much appreciated you. Wishing all of you and your kitties happiness and the best of health. Love, Peggy & (angel) Oliver & Sophia (a new kitty who came along in the middle of all this)
Fly free, Ollie. There are friends waiting for you at the Bridge until you are reunited with the one you love best.
I am so very sorry Peggy that it was Ollie's time to go ahead. Until you meet again... Fly high, Ollie , land softly.
Our deepest condolences in your loss of sweet Ollie. Fly free, Ollie! Time to romp through the grass with your friends.
Sweet Oliver had a great and loving home - the best that any of us can provide for our kittehs. May your dear Oliver fly freely and land softly at the Bridge. Oliver was loved.
