I wanted to let people know that SureFeed released their newest "smart" feeder! So excited:D! I've been watching & waiting for it. It has integrated scales so that you know you are putting the right portion of food down AND then it will actually monitor how much your cat eats, when they eat & notices changes in their eating. My cat is a grazer so sometimes it is a little tricky to figure out just how much of the food they ate. The scale will help tremendously with this. It will also keep other cats OUT since it has the microchip reader-nice for homes with more than one cat or a cat that likes to eat everyones food. Of course, it connects to
wi-fi so you can monitor from wherever you are which is always nice!

Hopefully, they will develop a refrigerated &/or timed version at some point. People have commented on that being needed. They seem to be super invested in developing new, intelligent devices for pets. Their site says they will release a new microchip by the end of this year which will read temperature by scan. Anything to make monitoring easier is so nice:cool:.

Congratulations if it works for you. It will be really cool. My cats wanted nothing to do with the SureFeed feeders. I wanted it to work so badly, but after weeks of going through the company's recommended steps to get the cats accustomed to them, they still wanted nothing to do with them, so I returned them.

Sorry to hear that :(....thats a bummer! Ive got the litter robot as well & thankfully, no issues. Unfortunately, nothing is 100%, but I like that the companies are willing to give instruction & then if there is an issue, offer a return.

The company that makes the feeder does not have a very long return period, but Chewy gives you up to a year. Thought I would mention that in case anyone wants to buy one... might be best to go with Chewy!

It looks really cool, too bad not even the previous model was available here ( hey vets do not even offer microchips) because they don't have the readers

Your pet does not have to have a microchip to use one. They come with a RFID tag you can put on the cat's collar.

Yes it certainly looks great ( provided my kids would accept the collar which I kind of doubt) but the feeder it is not available in Mexico yet :(

You may be able to message the company to find out when it will be available.
