    Yesterday. Caber 313

Late this afternoon it's vetty day for her. This would have been her 4 month check and to renew cabergoline but since pharmacy called for order we really don't need to go. But we will and get her ears checked out since they bother her so much. It's really hard to test her now, it's taking both of us to do it. Will try to get urine before we leave. She doesn't cooperate for that and I missed the last few they wanted. Overall I think Dr will be pleased.

Found out yesterday, other vet is combining 2 of his locations and moving, they have added an Urgent care and Surgery Suite. It won't be an overnight ER, It will have normal hours to start and will be for walk ins. So if pet is vomiting, or stung by bee, all of sudden limping, or even if Ollie went severe hypo you can just go and not need appt, things like that. It's a bit farther away, though not to much. I use to go to that location when a Dr I liked was there. It's the first urgent care around.

So husband informs me he has been getting light headed lately, guess call to cardio will be done when they open. Hopefully just an adjustment of meds will be needed.

Nice start for Ollie today! Sending good vet-visit vines!
I hope it's just a meds issue causing the light-headedness! Sending vines to your DH.

I reduce at 60 or below. She just gave me a 40. Is this still the higher depot, do I wait it out? She was reduced 24 hrs ago.

Vetty visit - ears are swollen, Dr said she sounded a little nasally. Yeast infection in both ears. Overall very pleased with Ollie.

Nice report. Besides the ears of course, hopefully that will clear up quick, just a couple days or so ago someone was talking about using garlic oil to help :)

@Sam & Oscar - I would avoid garlic anything with cats. It's toxic and causes hemolytic anemia.

I think it's you're call on whether to reduce. It looks like you've been shooting "skinny" reductions so it's something to consider. With acro, you need to tailor the dosing more than with other kitties.

It probably is partly the depot, bit I would reduce anyway. Because of what Sienne said, plus if infection is treated, she may come down some more too. And of course you have other distractions going on. Vines for DH.:bighug:

Poor baby is so uncomfortable. Hers ears are so so so red and hot. I did reduce, I also want to keep testing to the minimum. She is now getting Tresaderm drops. I know it could raise glucose but she really needs them now. Smokey got them and it did not raise his, but ECID. If it does we will just raise the insulin. She will get drops q12hr for 3 days then q24hrs for 4 days.

She did not like her temp taken at all, she growled and tried to bite. Right now she is hiding, ate most of dinner.

Ollie is not well at all. Only ate half dinner nothing since. She is totally out of it. Extremely lethargic, this can't be just the ears. Growls when I pet her, pick her up and she pretty much goes limp. I put her in the playpen and I will be on couch to keep an eye on her. Making an ER trip is on my mind. She was fine after vetty when we got home at +10.

Prayers for Ollie to feel better. Could it be a reaction to the meds for her ears?

Sorry Paula. I don't have an answer as to how much food should be given. Is she still off? Ming takes about half a day to chill out after the vet. He also will not eat too much after a vet visit.

She is out of it. She never reacted to vet visit like this before. As long as she doesn't get worse, I'll wait until morning. I might even take her to previous vet. I trust him more for immediate care.

    Got 5 ml i/d food in +6.

Are you still giving her small amounts of sub-q fluids? How's her hydration?

    Panc flare?

Thursday is her day for subq. I thought of giving yesterday but since vet said she was nasally and the way she is acting I didn't want to risk overloading her not knowing if it was heart related or not.
