    Good morning!
    AMPS 185 shooting 2.75u

Boomer got me up twice last night; an hour after we went to bed he called me and I lifted him onto the bed. The next time was around 4:00 am like usual, I stirred his food then carried him back to bed.

Yesterday I decided to visit some of our local neighbourhood run-off ponds. I stopped at 3 total but visited one of them twice hoping that a Great Egret would come in. It didn't. But when I pulled up to the pond the second time there was a Kingfisher on a tree right in front of me. It wasn't a great shot....horribly backlit and a building in the distance and she flew before I could get moved into a better position. But I stuck around for a while and sure enough she came back! So today's shot is a female Belted Kingfisher!

For some reason I thought those birds were bigger. She looks tiny though.

    Boomer looks good.

They're not very large, they would be a bit bigger than a cardinal but they're very "stocky".

And himself was actually playing a few minutes ago. It didn't last very long but gee it was nice to see!

I'm just beginning to feel myself after the bout with lyme disease and now, pneumonia. Bummer that we missed most of the summer paddling, but hoping to get stronger again (and finally get rid of pneumonia) to paddle this fall. I lost 15 lbs. of muscle!!

Gus lost 3/4 of a lb. of hair (had to be shaved because of terrible mats)!!

Loons are still here. Did you ever get a photograph of a loon this summer? Hummingbirds here are leaving. The ones at our feeder now are passing through from further north.

I've missed so many days on the board. Fatigue. But now I'm beginning to have more energy.

Hi Ella! I'm happy to hear from you! Glad to hear that you're starting to feel better!
Yes I did get a photo of a loon in the spring. I wish they spent their summers here but they don't.
