As you can see from the spreadsheet, he seems to running high ALL of the time. Should I begin 4.25u twice daily and do a curve this weekend?

Without any mid-cycle tests, you have no way of knowing what impact the insulin dose is having.

Hi Mel. It would definitely be helpful to get a curve this weekend. As FBM notes, it’s hard to tell if an increase is in order (though I suspect it is) without mid cycle data. ProZinc is dosed based on the nadir, with the preshot numbers letting us know they are high enough to shoot, so it’s really important to get those numbers when we can. I know it’s hard! Even a mini-curve — say, +3 +5 and +7 — would help let us know better what’s going on with his little body.

Thank you! Are the numbers I’ve been getting after his PM shot not taken into account? I thought kitties went lower at night, so I was trying to get a few when I could after his nightly shot. But, I’ll definitely try to get a curve this weekend!!

Yes, they do! I apologize: I opened the spreadsheet on my iPad, and it only shows the daytime columns and the first two of the pm cycle, so I literally didn't see anything other than the PS numbers!

One thing that's very interesting is that his numbers were actually better after two consecutive missed shots . . .
