? Why would a curve not actually curve?

Copying over from vetsulin forum. I'm still working on adjusting dose and did a curve last night. The numbers all stayed about the same. Shouldn't it be dipping no matter the dose?

Someone else will have to check this and I made my own spreadsheets so I'm illiterate as far as that goes. Yes, it's called a curve because plotted mathematically it should look like a Bell Curve. Keep in mind Nigel had textbook curves but Noah's looked like someone using a crayon in severe turbulence. Was anything else happening? Was it done at home? Plan for another one and don't tear your hair out yet, this is your new life. (just friggin super isn't it?)
And yes I think RockyRoo is a great name.

Yes it was done at home and nothing unusual was going on. I know his food was LC, too. It's happened a couple times with him and then sometimes it looks like a bell curve.

Well I'm stumped and since you've done this before and are way past being a newbie I won't repeat the basics. I was always lucky, home all day with a sock in the doorbell. Almost anything can throw the numbers off, Nigel would leap into the car he was so happy to show off but getting a curve done at the vet was pointless.
Try again Allison and for now as long as you have him at somewhat stable numbers be happy with that.
Answers like that are why I rarely come into Feline Health. That's all I've got. :blackeye:

How old is your vial of Vetsulin? If is several months since it was opened, it may no longer be effective

Rocky could have been bouncing from seeing numbers in a previous cycle that were lower than he's used to. Bounces can take six cycles to resolve. During that time, numbers can wobble around. Looks like you've got more of a proper curve happening tonight. :)

Sorry, I didn't see this before! It's only been opened for a few weeks.
