    I live in Sydney Australia.
Sheba is an Australian Mist kitty who I rescued when she was 18 months old, along with another cat, a silver tabby named Max. They were best mates.
Sheba was first diagnosed in 2011 and went into remission after 3 months. I was lucky to have a vet who knew quite a bit about FD.
She was prone to flares of pancreatitis over the years, and in 2015 she developed chronic diarrhoea, which I later found was from a food allergy, and that with a flare of pancreatitis, and losing Maxie, tipped her out of remission.
She was hard to regulate after that.
I joined FDMB and got a tremendous amount of help. I swapped from Lantus to Levemir which I liked better.

Sheba was a very people cat who loved to spend the day with me wandering around the house and sitting in the kitchen talking to me. She loved all the kids, as did Maxie, and didn't mind how much noise was about.

I fed her a home made diet once I discovered the allergy and she was so much better after that.

In early 2017, I discovered she had pancreatic cancer and she died 5 days later. It was a terrible shock. She didn't suffer as far as I could tell, and she told me when she was ready to go. We had the vet come to the house to help her cross and it was very peaceful.

After that I thought I could never have another cat, but I soon found out that a house without a cat is very empty.

I now have a boy named Harry, who is a beautiful kitty, very affectionate and loving. I also have my daughter's cat Clover who is the same age as Harry (3) and they are great friends.
They are fed a raw diet which I prepare.
