    BERTIE:
Was a stray that came to live with us when he was about 2yrs old.
Dx with diabetes Jan 2007 at age 8. Had been fed Hill's Science Plan dry food for years (bought from vet's clinic).
Insulins; Caninsulin, PZI, Hypurin Bovine PZI (unique to UK). Sliding scale dosage, fixed dosing never worked for us.
    Tentative remission Oct 2017.
Passed away age 20, April 2019.

    BONBON:
Diabetic rescue kitty we adopted Feb 2019, at age 12.
Few months later had acute kidney failure, not expected to survive, but she did! Transpired that she has only one functioning kidney, and there was an oxalate stone blockage.
Insulin: Was on 4 units Caninsulin when she came here. Switched to Bertie's Hypurin Bovine PZI. Sliding scale dosage. Insulin 'on demand', as and when needed.

    ELIZ: Semi-retired designer/maker (mixed media).
Passed my 'Animal Communication Practitioner' exams end of 2017. Meow!
