Tango is my first and only cat. He is 12 years old and I have had him since he was a 5 month old kitten. He has moved with me to three different states, (Florida, Illinois and New York), as well as numerous apartments and is the best sport ever! I know that everyone loves their cat, but my Tango is extra special and means the absolute world to me. He has always been a healthy and balanced cat and other than neutering him, I have never had to take him to the vet. Last March, I noticed that he was having what looked like some minor skin allergies, and was scratching his ears and face. I unfortunately made a bad choice in taking him to a vet that said that a steroid is the only treatment for allergies. That unfortunately triggered diabetes. He was diagnosed July 1, 2019 and I am just getting him started on Lantus, .5 units, twice a day. He eats Fancy Feast and I give him Young again kibble for treats. I will do everything in my power to get him through this and I appreciate the help and support of this group.
