Good Morning LL!! :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: (More Elsa! These new kitties do not rest....), and Happy Sunday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista! HEY! Now that I have Mannie's espresso recipe book, we can really get down to business. I've been trying to teach the new ones here, but they are so unfocused! Lola was into batting around the coffee beans and Bug just kept eating the ice cream... I dunno if they will be trainable.... so. well. anyways. onwards! For today, today I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Triple shot espressos, with beans from Ethiopia, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a Venti quad almond roca infused mocha, with chocolate caramel whip, garnished with caramelized almond clusters, chocolate shavings, a dusting of crystallized caramel and dark chocolate drizzle. YUM! Mannie made such good things! I am so glad I found his recipe book.....

Well............. WE HAVE NEW FURKIDS!!!! :D :D :D :D I wrote this last night, and well it suns things up best: We made it to the shelter today and adopted two furry purrys: Lola and Bug. I have no idea why he is called BUG, but that's his name, and I am inclined to keep it. ;-) He's a five year old male, and quite the affectionate cat. We do know he has a heart murmur, and will have that evaluated when it needs to be done. Lola is a 1 year old female, listed a a long haired domestic and tortie mix. She is quite the feisty thing. They seem to get along really well. so hopefully the integration process won't be a big deal. SO far we have had no hostilities, and they have been allowed to roam the house. Lola seems a little nervous, so we may isolate her for a while until she settles more. She's not quite 1 yet, so alot of this is related to her being a kitten too. Elsa is tolerating the "intrusion" well. She doesn't seem to mind Bug, but she does hiss some at Lola. Must be that female vs female thing. I dunno.... time will work it's magic and all will be well, as she has lived with other females before with no issues. The night hours went well, only one hissy session from Elsa, the rest I never heard them. Not too bad for a first night.....

Anyways I took a couple of photos, and will try and get some better ones. They don't seem to want to sit still....  we took to them both right off, and they to us, one of those things where they jumped into our laps when we met them. Yupp! Meant for us. So we start a new adventure. Liz wrote this last night on their FaceBook intro, and it kinda summed things up well: "You won the lottery, better than the powerball. Mannie said so." yes, that he did!

Have a great day everyone. I'm off to play kitty referee! Just kidding... but some play time is for sure in order. :D We should have some good weather her today, so hopefully this afternoon I can get out for a woods to shore walk/hike. Paws crossed.

Oh my gosh, Michelle, what a nice surprise to log on and see your condo and opening up your heart and home to two kitties and giving them a forever home. I missed this last night. Welcome Lola and Bug! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: They are beautiful kitties and seem to be adapting to their new surroundings. I love what Liz wrote above about you winning the lottery and better than Powerball! Yes, Mannie sure would agree and is looking down. I hope Elsa and Lola connect in time.
Oh I almost forgot to thank Elsa today for the 10 Hour Energy Coffee and Triple Espressos.
Have a great day, Michelle. Keep the pictures coming. Scritches and hugs.

That's wonderful. They are such beautiful kitties. Hopefully Elsa will adjust to them and they'll get to be great friends. I agree, this is better than winning the Powerball. Have fun with the new furkids.

Yup, this is the best news! I was so happy for these 2 kitties and for you when I logged on late last night and read your news. I'm sure they will settle right in and that Elsa will adjust easily (after all, "Mannie said so"!)

Elsa, the Ethiopian beans are my favorite espresso. And Uncle Edward and I really needed the triple shot this morning after our adventure yesterday. Thank you, Kitteh Barista! Looks like you've got some training to do with your new helpers.

Michelle, have a great day. And enjoy a hike, too.

    Hugs and scritches,

    Ella & Rusty

Morning Ann :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: Yupp, adopted tow new ones. Theya re great! I had forgotten what it is like to have two young ones in the house: non-stop play and RUN is the speed they use. Elsa has some adjusting to do. We still have alot of hissing, but they did all eat their breffis together, granted 15 feet apart, but together. :D They seem to be adapting well, play well together. In loved what Liz, and then Anne, wrote. Mannie is saying well done! I think Elsa and Lola will like each other, in time. Will do on the pics!
Auntie Ann - you is so welcome! it was good then? I can come back, Mannie said I should make sure everyone is good to go for the day. You good? ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Morning Carla :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: THX, and I hope so too. I think Elsa will in time, she has been in this situation before and did come around. I expect it to be the same this time too. oh yeah on the powerball! :D :D

Morning Emily :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: THX for the visit! I really enjoy these guys - they are fun to say the least. I so hope they like it here and are glad they picked us. Me too on Elsa! It can be hard on these senior cats, but I expect she will come around.
Auntie Emily - you is so welcomes! Woo HOO! new customer! Mannie was right - this is so mega cool!~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Morning Ella :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: THX! I think it is good news too. When we went to the shelter we went to get the Norwegian forest kitty, but were 5 minutes too late, we watched another lady adopt her. all is OK with that - they both liked each other. I thought I wanted Lola too when we went, and since we couldn't get Esme, we found Bug. So so glad we found Bug - he is such a good kitty. I think Elsa will in time, no doubt - she just takes a while, it was that way before when we brought in new. After all Mannie said so. THX - am looking forward to hiking this afternoon, even if it is local.
Auntie Ella! I knows on these new helpers... they is mega crazy! I am so glad youlikes the Ethiopian coffee - Mannie said I needed to keep that one, so I did. YAY! I can bring more today - you sound likes you needs it! Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Morning Jane :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: THX for the visit! oh yes on the fun times. I had forgotten how much energy these younger cats have! We've had seniors her for the past few years. This is kinda fun! And ues, the dynamics have changed! Sure hope the resident senior comes around quickly - HAHA. more than likely she will need time. She is very set in her ways. ;-)

Morning Liz :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: We have been VERY LUCKY! no flying fur. Just hisses. Bug and Lola play together very very well. They took to each other from the get go. Elsa tolerates Bug better than Lola, but I suspect that is the female vs female thing. I am sure that Elsa will come around. She has been there before when we brought in other females, so all in good time I think. Sheshhh, we didn't even have to isolate them. very lucky indeed!

Congratulations!!! They are ADORABLE! I'd leave Bug's name, too. Probably named that because he is as cute as a bug!! I'm glad the intros are going well!

(mine are all seniors). They are so beautiful. They are so lucky to come home with a wonderful mommabean. At least Elsa will have fun watching the crazy kitties. I love the name" Bug".

    Have a good hike!

Yay!!!! Congratulations, and yes, two more kitties won the Kitty Lottery! I am so happy to hear that you found two little hearts to adopt and that they seem to be getting along. And that Elsa and Bug are doing good. Elsa and Lola .... yeah, girls can be a little trouble when one or both want to be the House Princess. We are still doing the separation thing with Leo and Mako, and DH says that now they are playing on either side of the screen. When I get home this week we'll have the Big Meeting in person (although DH said they are probably ready now). So I would suggest a little of the more formal introduction method while everything is still new, and Lola can figure out that Elsa is the Queen.

    Yay!!!

Hi everyone! It's been a decent day here. The new kids are adjusting well. One would think that they had lived here forever. Lola has mellowed out alot, and is more settled today. Bug Has discovered a box I left out and he has been sleeping in that on and off all day. Elsa seems to be better about the "intrusion" and is hissing less. In time she will be fine. It still amazes me that we did not have to isolate them. Elsa has been able to find her space without it, so WOW, and good to go. :D

Hi Pat - THX! I think they are cute too, and have adapted so well here. Thanks for what you wrote. You are too kind. :D

Hi Marje - THX, and we have kept the Bug's name. It's an odd one, but it does seem to suit him. me too on the intros! hay have made it very easy. The new ones get along great. :D

Hi Doreen - thanks for the visit! Oh yes, I knew it to - one wa snot enough, it had to be two... part of the reason was that Elsa is a senior, and I really wanted company for her, but also company that would not drive her nuts, so two about the same age that will play well together, and not so much her. This way she can watch the crazy kitties, and not have to be crazy herself. Seems to be working! It is fun to have the young ones again - it has been years since we have. THX, thy are cuties, the rest?: well I try...

Hi Lisa - hey thanks, I like the thought on the kitty lottery, but think it was me that won that one. They have been a great addition! So true on the girls and their wanting to be house princess. Lola is gradually getting it: that Elsa runs things here. Big difference between today and yesterday. Elsa can tell her to back off and she does. ;-) kinda fun to watch the dynamics. It was nice too that Bug and Lola liked each other from the minute they were out of their carriers - those two didn't need any separation at all. kinda amazing... I'm glad that they each have fond their own space. YAY for Mako and Leo. Sounds great - and I can't wait to hear how the big meeting goes!

    Hi, Michelle!!!
    CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I'm so excited to 'meet' Bug and Lola. Welcome to our BIG family, kiddos!

I'm glad that there hasn't been much drama with the 'intrusion.' Elsa's probably just letting them know "I've been here much longer than you two."

    Enjoy your evening!

Hi Rhiannon - Yupp, we adopted two, a decision I am very happy with. They, Bug and Lola, get along wonderfully with each other. Elsa can still rules the roost. It's working out really well. :D

Hi Josie - Many thanks! They are really fun kitties - I think we got very lucky with them. I so agree on Elsa - she's just setting the rules, letting them know who's boss. We just have hisses, and no aggression, so all is coming along well. :D

Hi Deborah - many thanks! Hay - thanks - we think they are pretty great too!

NI NI LL! This bean is toast, and I am off to bed....

It was Liz who posted the "Kitty Lottery" in Leo's condo when I put up pictures of new little Mako. I thought it was such a good description that I started using it as well. Yay for the integrations working well so far, and Lola realizing that Elsa is in charge - that's terrific progress!
