Ugh. This is so frustrating. I think we may have to switch insulins, as the PZI isn't lasting long enough. I am getting more lower numbers though, which is good, but we definitely need more than what PZI can give, I think.
    Spreadsheet updated today.

    Hi Laura and Jack!

So, what I'm seeing is some pretty steep drops and then big bounces...not necessarily duration that isn't long enough, and then some bounce cycles...where the numbers look rather high and flat for a whole cycle. For example, on 2/22, Jack dropped from 210 down to 63 by +2, which is a huge drop, and then shot to moon by PMPS. I'm wondering if you tweaked things downward a bit you might see less of those wicked bounces?

I'm sure others will chime in.

    Hi Laura,

I'm with Jenn. For that 210 preshot, the one unit looks like too much insulin. Then he dropped low and bounced back up. Maybe when you get a preshot around 200, maybe drop back to .8 or so and see if the cycle is longer and shallower. I hope you can get some early numbers today to see if more insulin on a black makes him crash and then bounce up with the same pattern.

If working with the doses doesn't help, then yes, either Lantus or Levemir may work better for him. They tend to have shallower curves and longer cycles which may fit him better.

If you want to work with ProZinc some more before switching, it would be very helpful if you'd post daily and get input on dosing and maybe we can help.

I agree that a dose reduction might work. Like the 0.8 in 200 range at PS.
