Good Morning L&LL,

We are back to sub zero temperatures and high winds. Rusty is enjoying the sunshine on his perch above the radiator. We had a good night, snuggling in the quilt. Rusty ate all his nighttime food and about half of his breakfast so far (I'm about to go downstairs and warm it up for him and hold the bowl!:p).

Not much planned for today. We'll do a short walk around Moody Pond this afternoon. And then there's the end-of-month paperwork. Wishing all a good start to the week.

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:

A good WCR for Rusty! Off to the lagoon? Enjoy the radiator today Rusty, stay warm.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR on those temps! Enjoy the walk today. I bet is is beautiful, despite the cold.

Have a good one Ella!

Sounds like a great day to stay in and snuggle a kitty. :) Good job Rusty! Tarragon is already in the lagoon waiting for you. Have a great day Ella!

Sisterbean is very happy about my trip to the lagoon Rusty. I am liking it too, extra tests mean extra treats, thanks for inviting me :D

I was just doing the hold the bowl thing for Vyktor, first time I've tried that and I only did because he sniffed his bowl and didn't want it but was trying to eat the same thing straight out of the can I was holding, so I held up his bowl and voila he ate some - what's with that?!?!?!

(I'm about to go downstairs and warm it up for him and hold the bowl!:p).

Oh, I know all about holding that bowl....how does it happen that we beans end up in this position? Oh well...anything for their sweet fuzzy little heart! Stay warm there! We won't see subzeros until the overnight hours, but it is still way too cold here. Have a great day, Ella!

Nice to see the LagoonMeister supervising from the shore, but I think you need to keep a closer watch on some of those kittehs, Rusty!

I've done the bowl holding thing too. I think if thy have an acid stomach it can give them reflux when they bend over to eat. Maybe try a raised bowl platform?

Rusty doesn't have stomach problems, and his CatMate C-2 "automat", where he eats most of his fuds, is raised. He just likes being a cat :cat:. And he is not food-motivated, so often I have to remind him that he is hungry.
Anyways, the LagoonMeister is now on duty. He ate all of his breakfast. At lunch I tried him on Dave's Turkey & Giblets and he ate quite a bit already, so I hope he continues to like it. After lunch he made a contribution to his litterbox and then jumped up on top of the piano and began playing with "Big Bug". He jumped up from a rocking chair, but didn't want to jump down onto the rocker, so meowed for Edward to lift him down!! We provide a full-service accommodation here!

Ahhh, LagoonMeister! Good to see you hard at work today, even though Cinco decided to stay on dry land for now. We may be needing your services this evening, though ( although I hope not). :D

Add me to the plate-holding club! Both Minka and Sasha now expect it. I can have a plate sitting right next to either of them, and they will not touch it, but if I pick it up and put in in their faces, they start eating!!! Since both need to eat more, I spend a lot of time being a plate holder. :joyful: I do raise the plates when I set them down for both - Minka because of the acid stomach issue and Sasha because with her tripod stance it's much easier for her to eat from it if it's higher. Funny, the boys don't require the same level of service, although I do it sometimes for Cinco when he's in the cone of shame.

We didn't go for the walk. It was just too windy (and the high temperature for the day was zero). So we worked out in the basement on the bike and the rowing machine.
I'm not sure I'm going to hold on to the slight reducie much longer. I may go back up to a "regular" .75 U tomorrow. Rusty seems to do well on that dose, with only occasional dips below 50. This morning's shot, however, may have been slightly short. Also, maybe Dave's T&G is higher in carbs that I thought. We'll have to sort out the variables.

Hope you all are staying warm and snug,

Ella & Rusty

Jeesh, with those temperatures, the lake may not thaw all summer. We have not been reduced to holding the bowl but we have done quite a bit of bowl chasing. Funny how food tastes better 6" away.
