Yesterday

Good Morning, Everyone,

The sun is shining!! Hopefully for most of the day so it can dry out some. We just heard that the put-in for our Racquette River trip tomorrow is totally under water and that you have to wade to the sign-in register. The gang is going anyway. The Racquette is very fast, but this trip (unlike the one we cancelled last week) is only one way: downstream. Should be fun.
And tonight is ChrisMoose Eve. Party begins at 5 p.m. I'll have to go home for PMPS and shot at 6:30 and then back to the party. The house is about a 25-minute drive, so I hope I don't miss too much fun (or food!).

Rusty had a good night, ate all of his nighttime food, and is about to have his breakfast "hand-served" (he made a small dent in it a couple of hours ago). There are definitely 2 "trespassing cats": Lelio and another smallish cat. Rusty will have his hands full this summer.

Rusty got a reducie today. He'd been angling for one, and with all of the "extra" stuff we are doing, it seemed prudent to take him down a drop to a skinny .75U (1.12mm on the digital calipers, Terumo syringe).
Party was great. Rusty was "on watch" all day for the interlopers. We started the mildweed seeds in the little greenhouse.
Very tired tonight and have to be at the paddle early tomorrow to shuttle cars.
