Hi Everyone,
It's hot & humid and Rusty feels it! Looks like he bounced from his greens yesterday. But the cartridge of Lev is almost empty and we have had a bunch of uncharacteristic readings lately, so this evening we started a new cartridge. Rusty baked in the sun for a while (inbetween showers), but mostly has been napping. Good appetite all day.
I had to balance the checkbook this morning and that was a horrible job. Couldn't find the error. It threw off my whole schedule on this busy day getting ready for Canoe Outing. So late this afternoon I finally had a minute to sit down to see how the Mets were doing, never thinking that the game would last 6 hours and go for 19 innings, when the Mets finally beat the Cardinals! YAY! Thiat's where we are now. Rusty is sitting on the couch with me, getting ready to eat his dinner.
Tomorrow morning we don't have to leave for Canoe Outing until lunch time. It's registration and check-in day and I always help with check-in. Then Happy hour, then early dinner in the cafeteria for me so I can get home for Rusty's PMPS. Then back to the outing for the evening meeting. Then home. And Tuesday morning the paddles begin. I hope Rusty will be OK this week. He doesn't like to be alone, but he'll have to hold the fort all day every day. This will be Rusty's 5th year of holding the fort so maybe he'll remember the Canoe Outing routine.
I'll try to check in from time to time and will be thinking of all of my L&LL friends and the kitties. The LagoonMeister will be on duty even if he's on the beach. And he would welcome visits from his pals.
Wishing you all a good week,
Ella & Rusty
Thanks for visiting us.
Oh, I just read that Simon is flying free. My heart goes out to Georgia tonight.
