Ok I can't find any of the threads people say the get the insulin from.

Could a sticky be done with links to the sites????

Anyway. I checked around my pharmacies and found one who has the 5 pens for $380 and the vial for $260. None would sell just 1 pen. Is this a good price for lantus.

A lot of us are getting our Lantus from Canada because it's so much cheaper....The info on Marks (which is great!) is in the last post in the "Insulin from Canadian pharmacies" thread

That's actually a decent price for the pens!! Here, they're over $460 for a box of 5! (which is why I'm paying $175 from Marks!)

You're going to be better off buying the pens because you can use every last drop. The vials usually poop out before you have a chance to use all the insulin and you have to throw it away

Do you have Walgreens where you are? I asked about Levemir and was given a price over $400 for the box, but when I asked about any discounts, I was told if I bought a Walgreens prescription card for $20 the price would be under $300. Good deal I thought. Worth a call anyway.

I don't have a Walgreens. The family pharmacy I use (not big chain) has lantus for $380 for 5 pens. I am checking the Canada places. I just didn't want to get 5 pens until I know it works for him.

Marks will sell one pen....that's enough for most cats to last about 3-4 months...it's a little higher priced to just buy one at a time, but it's an option

They just started offering that option

No, at 2.5U twice a day, one pen would last you about 2 months (60 days)

Each pen holds 3ml (300 units)
