Hi Everyone,

Rusty's body is still keyed into the old dose, so we'll have to wait a couple of days to see how he does on his new, skinny .5 dose. I could tell he was dropping this morning, but he picked himself up, as he always seems to do. He had a good day, relaxing in his perch, soaking up the Indian Summer sunshine.

Another late day to the board for me. This morning Edward had a computer emergency (needed to send files from 2010 that were on a PC (he now has a Mac). Fortunately we still have the old computer, but it wasn't hooked up to the internet and, after getting it online we discovered that the mail program had died. But I was able to get the files onto a cd rom disk and, fortunately, the Mac could read them and Edward could send them from his Mac as attachments. These were files in music notation, which made it tricky because the current Mac version of the music-writing program is very different from the PC version (which was also outdated). It was a headache!

This afternoon I drove the car for the first time since my surgery (I waited the prescribed 2 weeks). It felt great! Finally able to go to the supermarket!!

bbl to visit condos. Gotta go make dinner and drink a beer (Leffe blond),

I bow before you, oh mistress of the computer jungle. I can't even figure out how to get all my photos organized on my computer. I am truly a luddite.

Rusty, playing a little close to the sharks, huh? Settle down. Or up, as the case may be.

I have to smile at your enthusiasm about driving. My surgeon knows I won't do the surgery if I can't drive myself home. Two hours away. He makes it happen! Still, I couldn't lift anything over five pounds so had to have a friends come and hoist my Patch up on the fluiding counter every other day so I could fluid him!

Have a great evening.

Isn't that first drive after surgery great?? I spent several weeks in a burn unit several years ago followed by 2 months of "no driving..doctors orders"...then the first day I was allowed to drive, it was so much fun!!....at least until I got pulled over and got a ticket for having an expired drivers license:oops: I guess the renewal notice came while I was in the hospital and got lost:rolleyes:

Cost me $110 + $75 court costs....but I did enjoy the drive!!

Yo Rusty!! Didn't you see me in the lagoon today? You swam right past me out into the deep water! I tried to call you back but you were on a mission!...Stay a little closer to shore next time, 'K?

Sounds like you earned that beer with that computer business. I spend all day at work on the computer and then there's the board so I can't bear to go near it for anything else on top of that!

Congrats on returning to the road - freedom whoo hoo

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Dear Laird Rusty! Think green, and back to the lagoon. Sounds like maybe a resting day for you yesterday. I sure hope you like your new dose. Surf well today.

Ah the saga of old files... sounds like you were successful. Good job! I am still wrestling with mine, or rather my DSIL the computer wizard is, huge issue with W10 and dell's hardware system. anyways... we keep hoping for it to be working online. paws crossed. Good job getting Edward to be able top access what he needed.

have a great day today. I am so glad that you are healing well, and YAHOO on the being able to drive again. :cool:
