    Hi everyone,

Thought you would like to know that our dear friend Bron has had to be readmitted to hospital yesterday on the advice of her heart specialist. They are having trouble stabilising her erratic heart rhythms. She has been moved from ER to the cardiac ward and is on an IV drip and expects to be there for at least another 2 days.

Bron's daughter Liz is looking after Sheba and the grandchildren are doing the BG tests. Sheba took one of her famous low dives and Liz texted Bron, just as her consultant arrived. Typical Bron, she told him she had to sort Sheba out first - luckily he was very understanding, but said he would ban her phone if that sort of news was going to send her heart rate up and set off all the buzzers!

I don't think she has her ipad with her so it might be difficult for her to check in here for a few days, but I am sure you would all like to wish her a very speedy recovery and hope she is home soon. Let's get those famous L&LL vines winging their way to Sydney!

I said I would email her again tomorrow and will let you know of any developments.

    Suki

Oh no! Just loaded up a jet with vines and prayers and it's on the way Down Under. I'm so glad she got the family involved in testing and shooting when she did. I also think it's a great idea to get Liz her password and id so she can post if she has an issue. Better to come to us than to upset Bron right now!

Hi all, I've had another email from Bron and she is feeling a bit better, they have managed to get her heart rhythm under control but it is still too fast. I've passed on the suggestion for Liz to post here if it would ease the stress for Bron. I'm afraid Sheba is being rather naughty and giving Liz and Rob (Bron's DH) rather a hard time with her famous late night diving, but Bron has reduced her dose by half so hopefully that will help. Better to run high for a few days.

I've told Bron there are bucket loads of vines and love on their way to her from all her friends here and I am sure that will cheer her up knowing we all care.

    Hello everyone,

Just received an email from Bron, phew, was beginning to be slightly worried as it had all gone quiet. Anyway, long story but the upshot is that as her heart rhythms are still out of sync and her pulse is running too high, the plan is to have a general anaesthetic on Thursday am when they will zap her heart back into normal rhythm. First they will do an ultrasound down her throat to get a good look at her heart to check for clots. Then if all goes well she can go home later that day on a big pile of medications. Poor Bron is feeling a bit down and depressed about it all. Unfortunately, she still hasn't been able to connect to wifi in the hospital so hasn't been able to check in here but hopes to get on later. (I'll direct her to this post so she can see all your messages)

Bron's family have been amazing. It's been a bit of a baptism by fire for them. Sheba has been doing some serious dropping at night and Rob and Liz have been up til 1 am or later twice trying to keep her up. The four grandchildren have all become involved in testing Sheba as well, who has been been agreeable with the new arrangements. Bron has again reduced her dose. So Bron has to sit it out now until Thursday - she said the patience pants are wearing very thin! Her specialist sounds a very nice man, he even asked how Sheba was doing.

I'm just going to email her back now and I'll pass on everyone's best wishes and vines by the ton for a successful op and hope that she can come home soon.

    Suki

Thanks for the update @suki & crystal - hope that this new treatment does the trick and she can get out of the hospital!!

Wonderful that the family is pitching in to keep Sheba safe. We all love reductions but can you dial down the drama for now, Sheba!

Does KTSS make visits to get the hospital smell off beans?

I agree...it is wonderful that her family has gathered to take care of Sheba so she doesn't have to worry about things! Many prayers that this procedure gets things in order. A friend's father had the "zapping" a few years ago and he has been fine ever since.

Quick update from me on Bron and Sheba, sorry I have to dash out so I've just copied Bron's mail:

    Bron said:

Rob took Sheba to the vet unannounced this morning when they opened and they saw her within half an hour. They are very good with diabetic cats that are sick. Will always fit you in.
Sheba had a temperature, very tender tummy, and was dehydrated. The vet was lovely with rob which was good.
Sheba had subcutaneous fluids, imi antibiotic.... Probably the one no one likes but can't do anything about it. Also imi pain killer and imi anti nausea.
Sounds like pancreatic flare to me but rob wasn't sure what she said. Remembered everything else though. Poor fellow he is stressed to the eyeballs with all this .... It is not in his comfort zone!
Rob said she is starting to eat small amounts which is a step forward. Just hope she continues so she can have her insulin.
Rob said she took herself upstairs and onto her pillow beside my bed.. Poor darling.

    followed by a later note:

Firstly I so happy Gracie is better. Oh what a relief for marje and mike.
And wonderful wonderful news for Megan and oren. Please tell her how very happy I am for her. Also marje please. Thanks for doing that.
No more news about Sheba. Will hear at 7 pm with the bsl. Ran high today with the fur shot.
I am trying to keep calm.
It is not effecting my pulse or my BP which is low 97/65 last time.
Must go. Dinner has just arrived. Thanks so much for all you are doing. And please thank everyone for all their thoughts. Hope I can read them soon. And please thank Tara for her offer. I will yell of I need more help!

If I hear anything further about Sheba, I'll post it later- Suki

Sending tons more vines for Bron and Sheba. My bet is the stress of Bron not being there caused a pancreatitis flare. Hoping Rob was sent home with med for nausea so she will eat.

Oh dear, just what Bron didn't need! I'm so glad Sheba is eating, and thank goodness their vet is so flexible.

Quick line from Bron, Sheba seems much brighter in herself and is asking for food, which is a good sign. Liz has made up her raw mix and Sheba is eating well. Managing to get the meds into her as well.

Bron is hoping to access the hospital WiFi later so with any luck she will be able to catch up with all her friends.

Poor Bron and Mike; what a trial, but it sounds like Sheba is responding a bit better. Oren is sending all his lucky vines to Bron & Sheba and the whole support team; they sure worked for him and he wants to pay it forward.

    Hi everyone!
At last I have been able to access the Internet and get online.
I have just been reading all my wonderful, caring and beautiful messages and have tears streaming down my face! Thank you everyone for all the vines, prayers, hugs, purrs, gum leaf lykor, biggest baddest kudzu vines, white light, calming vines, anti pancreatitis vines, patience pants ( I needed them big time!) Canadian vines, healing light and vines and offer of help ( thanks Tara)? It has given me a real boost to read all the wonderful messages......thank you so very much. And thank you so much Suki for keeping everyone up to date..

It has been a pretty awful couple of weeks. I thought the ablation would solve everything but it has made everything much worse and added more into the mix. But hopefully by this time tomorrow I will be back to "normal" after the cardiovert. I have worn out all my patience pants...they are in shreds!

My family........Team Sheba.......has been amazing. My cardiologist rang me and said come straight to hospital last Friday so I had no time to organise anything and it was unexpected. I had no raw food prepared as I had been feeling too unwell to bother doing it, so I said just give Sheba canned food. And I just quickly mentioned the essential tablets. My DD Liz and her three kids have been amazing. The kids are doing a lot of the testing of the bsl and cleaning the kitty litter twice a day and doing the chickens. Liz is doing the insulin and has learnt to test through necessity. DH Rob has been fantastic looking after the food side of things and picking up the slack.. And looking after no. 7 grandson and getting the kids after school still.....he insisted! It has been really hard being in here and hoping all is OK especially when Sheba got sick. Rob has also taught himself to test bsl which I can tell you is a giant leap forward for him.....so proud of him. None of this is in his comfort zone....he loves Sheba but he left her care to me except for feeding her if I was out and nursing her.

Sheba seems to be better today and is asking for food. She didn't want to eat the canned food which is very unusual but understandable with pancreatitis, so Liz has got some of the meat I bundled into the freezer before I came in....and has made up a raw mixture for her and she is eating that. Sheba has done her share of diving and bouncing since I came in here and Team Sheba had a baptism by fire when she decided to drop two nights in a row and they were up til 1am.......so proud of them. Sheba is a bit stiff and weak in the back legs the last couple of days....don't know what that is....

I have called in and used all my favours due as well as used all my browny points this past week.

Have just had a visit from the cardiologist and if all goes well I can go home tomorrow about 4 hours after the cardiovert.
Thank you again for all the powerful vines and prayers. They are working on Sheba and hopefully on me tomorrow. I am going to read all my messages again then I am going to have a look at all the condos ................I am starved of news of my FDMB family! , Although Suki did tell me about Gracie and Fred and Oren.
Hopefully will be able to post later tomorrow and have good news!
Thank you again my dear friends.

I have missed everyone here and news of the kitties. Suki was great keeping me up to date with the "big" news items so I am looking forward to reading all the rest.
We can forget how important our health is and the health of our kitties is until it comes under threat and then we realise that nothing is more important

what a blessing to have Team Sheba working like a well oiled machine! So relieved that Sheba is feeling a bit better and no doubt once you're home, she will really perk up. Sending all bright, warm healing energies for your procedure today, and prayers that you get to go home. And of course you already know the power of the wonderful family of LL&L. As I was told in my darkest time of waiting and fear, the healing vines should not be discounted, and I'm a believer! And Sheba, you be sure to get off that diving board and give Bron and team Sheba a break!

Bron we miss you! Almost as much as Sheba does! So nice that you found some wifi and got to post - not that Suki hasn't been doing a wonderful job. I have been chuckling at the news from Sydney going to France and then spreading all across the world including coming back here to Oz.

Sending strongest vines for a smooth procedure tomorrow so you can get back home to Sheba, Rob (what an awesome DH) and your dear little chickens. Team Sheba rocks!

    Hi all,
Just had a quick email from Bron this morning, the op was a success and she now has a normal heart rhythm and pulse :) :):) She's just arrived home and Sheba is delighted to see her. Liz will carry on helping out with Sheba as Bron has to have a quiet week with plenty of rest, she is still very tired and weak. Bron's not sure when she will get round to posting but wanted to thank you all for your amazing support. Great news and continued vines for her complete recovery.

Now we just have to cross paws for Gracie and Crystal's echocardiograms today.

    Suki

Vines and prayers are headed down to Oz, with plenty of :bighug::bighug::bighug:s, too.
