    Yesterday

A different day today. He is being a brat - hiding under the bed, not letting me touch his ears (paw testing is not an option - he hated it!!).

At least it looks like you can go a little longer between tests today. And you got good sleep last night. :)

Yellow preshots are so much better than pink or red ones.

They all have their moments. As Wendy says you can go a little longer between tests and give Muffin a bit of a break.

After a particularly busy day of poking George was the same, but he got over it, I bribed him with a few more treats.

what makes you think that? Could you smell the insulin on his fur?
Or is it just the high numbers?

The higher numbers could still be a continuing bounce, which will eventually clear, they can last up to 6 cycles.

Whichever it is Think of it a a Pokie Break for you and for Muffin. :)

I did not smell insulin nor did I feel any wetness. I just thought that because the numbers aren't moving and I'm really struggling with a syringe (he has very thick long hair) - I missed!! I'll take the break and do some cleaning that hasn't been done in days!! Muffin is enjoying the break. He's been snoozing all day.

    Thank you for your comments.

He’s bouncing but this also tells me his depot might just be settling down.

Marilyn...could you please move the 2016 tab to the left on his SS so when we click his SS link, the SS that comes up first is 2016? To do that, all you have to do is the 2016 tab and move it left or click on the 2015 tab and select “move right”. Thank you!!

PMPS 207 - getting ready for his AM injection. This is the lowest AM reading so I'm a little nervous. I'll get a new post going.

    Thank you for your concern!!

Oops I guess he had the 150 so this isn't his lowest.

Too late - I already fed him. Is this something I should do? Is there a threshold for holding food?

There would be no reason to stall with a 207 unless you were extremely new and it was a big drop from +10 or +11. Stalling is usually a technique for very new or fairly new members so they feel more comfortable about shooting a number below 150 for the first time. Stalling doesn't benefit the kitty :) in most circumstances.

I say "most" because there could be a situation certain circumstances might be safer to stall a bit (such as a kitty that has just vomited and numbers are low). Safety first.
