Yesterday, slow appy and vet visit day.

Neko is still not quite eating full steam. She'll eat about half of what I put out, so I'm doing smaller, even more frequent meals. She still hasn't quite had a full AM amount of food, though she did ask for the last one. I took the dose up last night, but not where it was before all this happened. I think I'll have to increase again but I'm going to see how the next couple of cycles go. ProGut Plus on board this AM and I'm going to add Zantac.

I just have the verbal results of the blood work, haven't had it emailed to me yet. Thankfully her kidney values are all about the same. However, I got extra thyroid tests done because of her recent SRT, and her free T4 was low. Vet wants me to contact CSU and ask at what point they'd add thyroid supplementation. Hypothyroidism is a common side effect of SRT.

Thinking of Tricia and Mark today and sending them lots of comfort as they help sweet Minka cross.

 

Glad to hear Neko is eating a little better and her kidneys are no worse. I hope she gets back to her old self soon.

Glad she is eating for you- I have been busy so haven't been able to catch up on posts- so didn't know that Neko was poorly. I am glad things look ok Blood Value wise and I hope she continues to feel better soon. Love and Light your way!

 

She turned around again. Ate her yogurt/Azodyl, had a tsp or two of her afternoon snack but snubbed dinner. I gave a BCS because of that PMPS and we are back to syringe feeding. Sigh. More calls with vetty tomorrow. She was a bit more active, even went outside for a minute or two. I've been watching the Zener massage video and will do more of that later.

 

We are so glad Zener's massage video is still helping others. Paws crossed for our Neko feeling better soon.

Neko seems a bit sore around the tummy. She was not impressed with the tummy part of the massage. It could be my technique. The back part we do all the time so she likes it. I gave her some ProGut Plus just before dinner, and 4 hours later I decided to see if she would eat before syringe feeding and she did! I've noticed before it takes about 4 hours with the civie for it to start working. I laced some Recovery with maple syrup. I don't like seeing that 74 an hour before she onsets. I don't think I'm getting much sleep tonight. Note to self, need to work on pilling technique. Small piece of Zantac hides well in long hair.
