Last night Pimp decided to go ahead and earn that reduction he's been fishing for. Naughty bean didn't set an alarm after carbing him and fell asleep! I completly intended to test again at +5. Oh well, he's fine.
I considered shooting though the bounce this morning, but with as short-lived as his rebounds are becoming, I thought it better to reduce straight away and let the depot catch up while he's bouncing.

    Happy Caturday, Everyone:)

So I can learn, what benefit would it have been for you not to reduce and to shoot the bounce? I thought when they went below 50, you reduce right away.

"Shooting through the bounce" can help to keep the rebound a bit lower, instead of reducing right away, when kitty is obviously on their way up. It should only be done if there is no doubt about a bounce starting after low numbers, and only for one dose. So you would give the reduction on the second shot past the low numbers.
I think it is better practiced in cats that are known to bounce for 4 cycles or more.

Thanks for explaining that to me. And good luck with the reducie! Isn't it wonderful when they aren't doing as well as we'd like then they throw the switch!?? Love the progress. :)
