5/1 Crystal, one month today

My beloved Crystal has been gone one month today. I can't believe it has been that long since I held her, her last day will be forever ingrained in my memory, I miss her so.

In my last post I mentioned the crystal rainbow bracelet. John went back and bought it for me in memory of my darling Crystal. I'm wearing it today, along with her namesake crystal heart pendant. Here's a picture, which doesn't do it full justice, the colours are more vivid and sparkly in real life; just as she was in her prime.



and I couldn't resist one more picture of my special girl relaxing in the winter sunshine:

How wonderful that you were able to get the beautiful bracelet....I am sure Crystal guided you to it. As you wear it and the crystal heart pendant you will forever be holding Crystal close to your heart. And beautiful pictures like the one of Crystal relaxing in the planter, and all your other special memories will keep her spirit alive forever.

 

I'm glad John was able to get the bracelet for you. I hope the bracelet and pendant help you feel closer to her as you remember your sweet girl. Sending prayers.

Hugs Suki. The bracelet is as beautiful as Crystal was! An appropriate way to remember and honor her. I know that day is still so fresh in your mind and heart. Prayers that eventually your heart will smile again.

{{{Suki}}} It does seem hard to believe it's been a month since darling Crystal was in your arms. I hope the memories are helping to heal your heart, even a bit. You have some great photos of her - she really did love her planters. When the light hits that beautiful bracelet and makes a rainbow, think of it as Cryatal smiling on you from above.

I just posted on the other condo! The bracelet is breathtaking and that is my absolute favorite picture of Crystal. I always thought she was silver but I absolutely love the fawning in her fur. I think it adds such a beautiful depth.

I know what a hard day this is for you. Every day is. Suki, sweet friend, i understand but we each have our grief in our own way because our kitty was special to us in our own way. I hope that makes sense. I feel you will understand what I mean. We can empathize with each other greatly, especially if we have also experienced such a profound loss, but we can’t entirely know because only you know of every single second of joy and love your Crystal brought you and of your amazing bond of love.

Hugs and lots of them. What a beautiful bracelet and I wrote your wrote is so true. Time does not heal wounds like this. Time is only reminder of how long those wounds have hurt.

Dear friends,
thank you all for your kind words of comfort and heartfelt sentiments for both of us. I know my L&L family understand all to well the loss of our beloved FD kitties. Unfortunately I cannot claim ownership of the poem (I found it on Pinterest), but it summed up exactly how I feel, and will continue to feel. I don't think I will ever be free of the sorrow of Crystal's passing, I may come to accept it in time, and it may fade, but it will always be there. I pray that in time the good memories will indeed outweigh the sad ones

This picture shows Crystal in all her glory. I always loved her avatar pic, but this one shows just how beautiful she really was. It's perfect Suki.... showing her enjoying the beautiful outdoors, all calm and relaxed at home with her family...looking absolutely adorable. I know you must treasure this one, because you see a truly happy cat...no cares in the world.

The month has gone by quickly, and I know you have missed Crystal every single day of it. I also know that nothing can really take that pain away, but I hope having so many who understand it helps you to deal with it.

The bracelet is beautiful, as I knew it would be when you described it to us. John is a dear, understanding man to know how much that would mean to you and go to so much trouble to get it for you. I hope you smile when you look at it, and your crystal heart, and remember the best of times with your sweet baby, like the one in the picture. She was a looker, for sure, and so happy. She did love her planters - that's an especially good picture of Crystal. I want to reach through the screen and rub her sweet little belly! She is a sun-bathing goddess waiting for her servants to return with her shrimp.

oh dear, a fresh lot of tears this morning reading all your overnight posts, especially with the sad news of Paula's passing. How kind and loving you all are, I am truly blessed to be part of this compassionate family.
