From here on out, I'm going to tip a cuppa coffee to Paula at the top of each post. As she used to do with us each morning. So, a toast. In remembrance.

Heavy hearts in Pollywood. But we learned lots from Michael's mom and carrying on even when the hearts are heavy was one important lesson.

Yesterday my little scoundrel took advantage of my negligence. Ammee got a small bowl of dry DM, the food she ate at her previous home because her sibling, a diabetic, ate it. Even though Gandalf has been gone for a year or so, Ammee continued to eat dry DM so the sanctuary sent a bag home with me. And Ammee was being picky; I had to get to work. OK, dry if it has to be.

Got home. Settled the dogs, opened Ammee's door a cat width so she could come and go from her room as she pleased. Never thinking about the dry food still in the bowl. I may not have been thinking about it, but Miss Polly sure was. I didn't notice 'til I went in later and found just a few crumbles still in the bowl! Way to go blue little blue girl.

At least I got some data on how high she'll go and how long she'll stay there!

That 53 at +6 tells me the carb rush is over!

Will and I have an adventure planned for tomorrow so you better be good Miss P.D.

Oh no Miss Polly, contraband is not good. Glad to see she recovered nicely. A planned adventure sure sounds exciting!

Polly, it's not nice to steal food from your poor little sister!! Especially that icky stuff!

Glad to see it didn't take her too high or keep her there too long! Harvey said he saw her at the lagoon today.

 

I hope that means that she will be extra nice to Ammee now since Ammee let her eat her food.
