6/13 Boomer no test today, 2 month OTJ; photo!

Yesterday
Good morning!
Boomer has another pokie break today however I did remember to weigh him.....14.8 lbs.

Boomer is happy to have us back home and curled up next to me for most of the night. And he ate about 90% of his overnight foods. I think the treat I put near the bottom of each dish helps

I haven't been out of the house since we got home from vacation had too much editing to catch up on. I did get a lot done yesterday so now I have only one left to do. I have a 6 week old "newborn" coming tomorrow so later today I'll have to set up my studio. I'm starting an exercise program today in an attempt to lose 10-15 lbs and it's supposed to be reasonably nice today so maybe a walk this afternoon. Meanwhile, my house is a bit messy so I'll have to tidy/clean thanks to the customers coming tomorrow.

Today's photo is of a male Elk. There were lots of elk in Banff and we really didn't have to look very far to find them! Enjoy!

Edited to add that I just realized yesterday was Boomer's 2 month anniversary OTJ!

Welcome home, Judy! I can imagine that you are busy after your vacation. The thing I always hate after being away, even for a few days, is the mountain of junk mail to remove name and address from before recycling. Have fun.

Wow Boomer 2 months...how super exciting buddy! Maybe you should get a few more treats today Great picture...I love the animals! Hopefully things settle down a bit soon for you. Good luck with the exercise program. My treadmill is dusty....shameful

I just learned that I don't move much when I don't have dogs around me, begging for walks. Nothing like a furry coach that gets you moving!

....and I love that picture - if I didn't just dream of coming home to see my animals at the moment, I would say that I would want to take a vacation in Canada soon. Love the wildlife and the scenery!

 

@Mandarin'sMom coming from a very flat part of Canada, I was just in awe of the scenery in Alberta! The Rockies are absolutely beautiful.

Happy 2 month Anniversary Boomer! Great welcome home to have cat snuggles. Have fun with the house cleaning workout today.

Those elk really are everywhere. I remember seeing tons of them on the Banff golf course (we were rock climbing nearby), and practically any park in town.

 

@Wendy&Neko that's exactly where we found this one; the Banff golf course! And there was apparently a wolf there too but unfortunately we could not spot the wolf....we did smell evidence of a recent kill though
Is BC landscape a lot like Alberta landscape?

 

I love the mountains too! ...which makes it even more ironic that I moved from one of the flattest parts of Germany to Indiana.

 

We have the ocean, which makes it even better IMHO. The other half of the Rockies are in the east of BC, so it looks fairly similar. The coastal mountains aren't quite as high and sharp looking, and less snow. You must visit sometime.

@Wendy&Neko I would love to! Our original plan was to spend part of a week in Alberta and the rest in BC but the plan just wasn't working out and I didn't want to be away for very long because of Boomer.
