Smooth day! Biggest problem is measuring those small doses and getting rid of those bubbles - argh!! Have a good night everyone!

Hi Yvonne ~ I can relate to the air bubble dilemma; ours starting with the smaller doses too. One thing that is helping me is to go over the dose by about 1/2 unit and then I flick the heck out of the syringe to get them to go to the top. Then I pull down on the plunger a few units and then slowwwwwwly plunge it back up to the dose line and most of the time the bubble/bubbles go out with the extra insulin that is expressed. It is frustrating for sure because sometimes it takes me to start over again.......:banghead:

Sorry about your hand, Andy. That does not sound like fun. But I'm glad to see Pimp is doing well these days!

I have been trying to push the bubbles out when the syringe is still in the vial - think that is what you said. Most come out but not 100%. I also draw a tad over the dose, remove the syringe and adjust and flick away excess............. I wish they made needles for smaller doses? If someone is visually-impaired, it could be really difficult for smaller doses.

It's easier to to remove the bubbles once the syringe is out of the vial.

I take the syringe out of the vial ( pen in my case) and express them out. You need to be careful not to let any insulin see saw back into the vial as the lubricants in the syringes can contaminant the insulin.

I'm sorry! I wanted to post to Andy and Pimp (although hi!) and looked for something with yesterday's date. I got confused.
