Hi! My newly turned 14 yr old diabetic Red has been on Lantus for 3+ yrs now. About six months ago he started throwing up but mainly just in the middle of the night. Saturday night he did it at 4 a.m. and went outside and then came back at noon. He usually is back home by 7 for breakfast. I fed him and gave him his shot and he threw up again a lot. Took him to the vet and he had no fever but was dehydrated. Ran a blood panel on him this morning and he does not have pancreatitis. They said his phosphorus and calcium were all a bit. He also has been having more bowel movements lately. One of his CYT ES Kama monocytes is off also. Can anyone give me any help? He is my favorite cat. Thank you so much.

Sorry Red is not feeling well. Is he throwing up food, or is it just liquid? Maybe post a copy of his test results. We have a few members that are good at reading labs.

Reds results that were not normal were: ALKP at 12 U/L, AMYL 456, Creatinine 0.5. Vet gave me Phosphorus for him & Tylosin. He's better now but is losing alittle weight. His white cell count up a bit. Vet guessed he might have a tumor. Glucose coming down though! Any ideas? Eating no dry. Snuck some of our other cats' the other day & threw it up. Thanks for anyone's input!
