    Yesterday

Gremlin is just so cruisey... AMPS and PMPS are slowly but steadily dropping but he keeps swimming in the lagoon all day/night, very rarely testing deeper waters. He's being very good for his bean!! :):cat:

I spoke too soon!! I'd really like to reduce his dose here (or tomorrow maybe) as his nadir is always well and truly done by +6 and he's 50 at +6.5. I'm thanking the heavens that I didn't come home to find him missing or on the front door step in hypo!!

He hasn't really earned the reduction yet.....we usually wait until we catch them actually dropping below 50....he's also coming back for a 2nd time after being OTJ for awhile, and 2nd remissions are a lot harder to get than first ones are

He's really close to being a "long term diabetic" too (diagnosed over a year)...usually we wait until they drop below 50 three times or below 40 once before taking reductions on long term diabetics

Looks like he came up nicely after that 50 .....if you'd had to really work hard to get him up, it would be taken into consideration, but he popped right back up to a nice 63

I think he was just trying to get your attention...remind you that he's a cat and these are "His rules" ;):cat:

He could have been below 40 at +4 and almost definitely below 50 an hour earlier but I will wait.

I guess being in remission for seven months doesn't detract from the long term diabetic scale. This is all new to me.

I gave him food with a little bit of HC as I didn't want him dropping lower and he hadn't eaten since AMPS. He usually goes straight back up fortunately! I think it would be scary if it was a struggle.

Should I test again? Or give him food and go to bed? Going by past experience, with food he won't drop low.

Edit: I fed him and have gone to bed.
