    hey all
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post
I haven't been around for a long time
But still monitoring and loving my Moo
    He's on Lantus. .5 of a unit.

I had been bad about testing and a few weeks ago I decided to. And he was low. Just around 100. I kept an eye and he wavered up and down around there. Some days I have insulin. Some he was too low and I didn't.
I have not been keeping a SS as I am never on a computer besides my work one that I can't use for this.
All I have at home now is my phone

Anyway since Monday Moo has had no insulin. He has been between 110 and 72 at his feeding/shot times.
I even did a curve Saturday and he stayed low all day after his insulin dose of .5
Since his last dose Monday he was 128.
Wednesday he hit 147 but we had traveled. And after food and a few hrs he was back around 100.

So my rambling leads to ...
Is it 14 days with normal numbers and no insulin?
He's been normal happy Moo otherwise. A little chatty and happy.
    Normal stool. Normal eating.
Do I just continue to monitor and not shoot if he stays in the normal range?
    What exactly IS normal range?

    Thanks in advance.

    Annie and Moo

Yes....normal numbers are between 50-120 on a human meter with the majority of them being below 100

You might try testing/feeding and then testing again in 3 hours....if the number comes down on it's own without insulin, that's a good sign that the pancreas must be doing at least some of the work

    Thank you!
    That's what I've been doing
Without insulin the numbers have still been dropping.
And his numbers at feeding have been getting lower. He was around 100
    Then 90
And last night at feeding preshot time he was upper 70s:)
