Full Cold Moon Party Tonight! All Kitties Invited!

Yo Kitties: Come one, come all to the L&LL full-moon party: the Full Cold Moon! Yep, it's cold here, but we'll have the party in my barn, where there's a wood stove. We'll go down to the lake to fish through the ice, we'll have a snowball fight, we'll dance and sing, and, best of all, we'll have our Circle of Remembrance, when we remember all of our GA friends, especially those who have so recently arrived at the Bridge. This party will kick in the Holidays, so wear your finest holiday garb. See you tonight. Emma will pick you up in the L&LL Kitty Bus. Lola & Bug of Paw Prints Pizza will be making pizzas on the bus, and Vanessa will be serving up hot toddies. Lots of extra fleece scarves and hats on the bus.

Our hearts are heavy at the loss of another beloved kitty today, but Squallie says he will be there to have fun and nummy eats, and to be part of the Circle of Remembrance.

I'z getting ready. Mom provided me red wool coat and scarf, and a pair of snow bootz. Neko will be missed... but I will do my best making sushi. I'z sure friends will give me paws.

Rosie plans to be there, I'm sure, playing pranks on you as she has been doing for the past 6 months. Yep, 6 months. Now that she is reunited with her brother Basil, there's no stopping her. I think she says she's holding Neko's hand right now.

 

How about also find a real mouse under the snow...except for you, Bubba! No more mouse-effect tummy yuckks!

Yo, The mouse hunt is underway in the barn. There is a lively snowball fight outside. The fishercats are chopping holes in the ice to catch the lake trout. The grills are heating up. The drinks are flowing.
Can't see the moon (yet). It's overcast, but very bright. It's a beautiful night. I can't wait for the Circle of Remembrance so I can see all of my GA friends.

My boys are on their way... even thought they stubbornly refused to bundle up. So look out for the two boys in surf shorts... and don't serve them too many niptinis.

Momma is letting me out of the house for the party because I showed her some green today. I even picked out a green sparkly dress for the occasion. Mom says I can't have any sushi because the raw isn't agreeing with my tummy, but I can't wait to enjoy the other fuds! My favorite part of the evening is the GA remembrance. Mom gave me some special messages to pass on. I am so excited to see all my extra sweet kitty friends!

 

Dear Chef Rusty and Friends,

Civies and I are on our way and with plenty of "Cold Full Moon and St. Lucia Day Lingonberry Surprise" to add to the multitudes of scrumptious desserts! I won't spoil the surprise (oh what the heck: the mystery sparkle ingredient is North Sea bioluminescent phytoplankton enhanced by moonbeams).

We are excited excited excited about getting together with evereebody and especially joining in the Circle of Remembrance and seeing Bo again!

I even feel well enough to sing and dance and yowl the night away!!!

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) -- LOVE the kitty bus... such fond memories of that bus, how it came to be, and all the refinements Mannie put into it. I can remember how the kitties had to be somewhere with no transport available, so Mannie's uncle Matt who's band had just happened to have a bus they could borrow, took him up in it, and before the kitties knew it that bus was theirs, such a generous uncle. . It had bunk beds and nooks and crannies. Mannie loaded it with fleece blankets, installed a plasma TV, hot tub, and a stove with a grill.... the rest is history. It is nice to see that the kitty bus is still travelin' the roads...

Rusty! DUDE! We are ready, and anxiously await the Circle of Remembrance. These parties are the bestest ever! Your barn is perfecto!

I'S coming too, miss Zener and so many of Zener'S old friends. I is glad he has so many good friends at the bridge. The menu looks super, and I am very excited about the mice!

Yo Beans,
This is a wonderful party. We just had our Circle of Remembrance. It was very moving to see all of our GAs -- old friends and brothers and sisters-- looking so well. It is comforting to all of us to know that they are watching over us from the Bridge and that they share our joy. Now we are going to sing and dance to the music of the Blue Mannie Group, and listen to the Bridge Chorus singing all the old songs.
Don't wait up for your kitties. They will be home safely in their beds by morning.

We have a very clear sky tonight in western WA (doesn't happen often - it usually rains) so there is a perfect view of the full moon. And I have to admit, looking at it, just for a moment I almost felt as though I could hear our precious GAs too and I could easily imagine them all partying with our earthbound kitties. Enjoy the rest of your party kitties and we'll see you back home in the morning.

I just got a text from Jenks. He said the moontinis are flowing, the pizzas and moon pies are delish, and all the kitties from the bridge are partying at the veil and looking great.

 

I don't know what went on at the party last night but Tux and PJ are still revved up. They came home all excited and was jumping on me at 6am to wake me and tell me all about seeing Smokey and how beautiful and healthy he looked, they said he's gained his weight back. Squeaky, Fred, Patchy and Callie introduced themselves and told Tux and PJ all about their lives with us. So wonderful to see everyone had a good time.
