I didn't wake up for Eleanor's PM +6, did not hear the alarms, I set the TV to turn on and even that didn't wake me. The sound of Eleanor vomiting woke me at +7.25. She had not eaten the food in the auto feeder and of course I was not up to feed so she was vomiting mucus. Then she had a pudding poo.

I couldn't go back to sleep after that and I am feeling so sick, by AM shot I was a wreck. Eleanor couldn't eat with her shot and refused to cooperate. I couldn't get her to stay still. I finally grabbed skin, tented and shot, she jumped away, I don't know how much, if any insulin even went into her.
I haven't been able to catch her to test since.

I am so discouraged and so worried about her. I don't know what to do or why I even try. Every time she starts doing better, I mess her up. I feel so guilty and so bad for her.

she only does better because you care so much and do so much Julie!! do not be so hard on yourself... we all feel like we fail them... you are not failing her.. you are struggling with your own health and hers... you have so much on your plate... she will come back and she will calm down... hoping you both start having a better night :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:lots of prayers and hugs

Don't beat yourself up. You do a great job of taking care of Eleanor. We all have days where things don't go like we want them to, but things will get better. I hope you feel better soon. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Julie - in the scheme of things, it's just one night and one shot Looks like she's been doing okay lately - you are NOT messing her up
So wish you were close - I'd come over and help you but I can't, so please take some deep breaths, Julie. and vent here - vent all you want. I do believe it helps :bighug::bighug:

(((Julie))) you set impossibly high standards for yourself. We are humans not cats so we can't be perfect and we all screw up here and there. You shouldn't beat yourself up over these things but rather congratulate yourself for everything that you get right! Particularly given your own health issues, the care you give to Eleanor is just amazing.

Considering Eleanor has gone from over 4 units to 1.25u since November tells me you're doing something absolutely right!. I'm pretty close to you in proximity but with Doodles it would be hard for me to help consistently. That bothers me every day...I'm so sorry. Keep doing what you're doing...sending mega vines and prayers for you both. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
