    Yesterday

I think Ozzy is bouncing from his last greens but he did get to blue this afternoon.

He has thrown up about 3-4xs in the past 2 days...full food vomits (though one was for sure a hair ball). Not sure what is going on. He has been doing so good lately in this area and I thought we were getting past this. He has been taking AV juice, SEB, and probiotics 2xs a day now for quite some time. I am at a loss.... I don't even know what to feed him anymore. :banghead::banghead::banghead::(:(

Could it be a simple case of 'scarf and barf' - eating too fast? You can slow a kitty down by spreading the food over a plate instead of piling it in a bowl or by adding a golf ball or two to the food bowl.

Maybe, it's possible. I just really don't know anymore and it's getting discouraging. We are buying the most expensive high end foods hoping it will be better for Ozzy and I am not even sure if this is ok to feed. Maybe we just need more time... I don't know.

He still does vomit liquid sometimes. Can it be psychological with a cat? Sometimes he does this right when I wake up (I mean literally right when I get up from the alarm in the am) and sometimes right when I walk in the door from work.... It's pretty odd if you ask me.

We are 'experimenting' I guess with the food, feeding times, supplements...etc. This was NEVER this difficult when we fed dry. I'm not saying we are going to go back to dry, but really I never had such a difficult time in feeding my kitties. And after all this....I don't really think either of my kitties really likes their new food. I am constantly having to put treat toppers on their food to get them to eat it. I am only using the vitals freeze dried chicken giblets which they love (thank goodness for this!).

+4= 95. Back to green. Yay! He's only at +4 and not dropping too fast so I'm hoping his +6 will be safe and he'll surf the rest of the night. He's at Rusty's full moon party tonight, so not feeling up to any free falling in BG this evening. Plus, all those good Rusty fuds should keep him surfing for awhile.

Ozzy is surfing good so far. This makes mamabean happy!

What green numbers are good greens (below 100 but above 50) and how many greens per cycle is ideal???

    Yay, green! :D
Sorry about the barfs :( IMO, the new foods may be too "rich," to many new ingredients. Could be richer meats like lamb, venison, etc. Could be oils, gums (esp. carrageenan). Could be many other ingredients in the "premium" foods. Could even be the RadCat HPP poultry. Why not try some homemade? You could do a simple recipe and start with cooked meat, basic recipe, or use completer mix. From experience, I do recommend starting with small batch to see if they like it, before mass producing! Offer still good to try my Food Fur Life (before buying some) and the other brands have sample paks, either free or cheap.
Yes, the early morning acid/bile barfs and you get home barfs are in expectation of food. Their stomach juices start flowing and it makes them nauseous if they don't get fed. SEB/aloe before bed is supposed to help with this. You could try giving a little treat right away before making the meal. Gently poached chicken pieces or even low sodium and nitrate/nitrite free lunch meat turkey would work and not mess up BG reading.
Taffy's issues are at the other end, or somewhere in the middle, we are not sure!
I did not realize Ozzy was Main Coone, I thought he was an domestic short hair orange tabby by the photo. Post more pics!

    Hi Jo.

Just popping in to say yay for green! In answer to your question, anything 50-100 is good. I always preferred my kitties to surf 60-90. The longer he stays green, the better. It helps the pancreas relax and gives it a chance to heal.
