JanetNJ mentioned the music for cats on U Tube. I found one called Relax My Cat- music for relaxation and sleep. Leo and I fell asleep for almost two hours this afternoon listening to his cat music. Wonderful idea for both of us!

Music is healing for people and animals. It's primal. It's medicine for the soul.

Thank you so much for posting this!
I am playing it right now for another gone- too- low-must- test- your- ears-often day.

I was playing it for Teasel last night because he wasn't feeling well. Very relaxing. :)

A friend gave me these CD's for my kitties. Sam doesn't seem to care that much, but Atticus will literally curl up with the speaker and fall asleep.

My cats and I have been listening to a music called Worl Flutes for years . Blitzen will come in my room when I play it and pass out on the bed with me. Ive listened to it for years as a stress reducer and the cats love when it on.

I put on one of the Relax Your Cat plays from U Tube before I left for the dr. today. Leo was in the room and within a couple minutes he jumped up on the bed and curled up. His eyes were closed by the time I left.
I left one of the longer ones on for him. I wish I would have known about this before.

Great idea, so after reading the post I started up the music and took my phone inside where my cat Renegade is sleeping because he's not feeling well. I'm now looking for "relax the cat's human who has to clean up entrails from the floor " One of my other cats who was outside gardening with me caught a mouse and decided to take it inside to dissect

Yong- Leo is doing well other than an IBD flare up recently that is now settled down. He is still off the juice as his BG has not been anywhere near needing insulin. Specialist thinks it was/is transient diabetes but may still consider him a possible pre diabetic so I need to test weekly and watch for water consumption signs. Who would have thought a couple weeks on insulin and no dry food would have gotten him to a non diabetic state!? I never did get to do a SS because he wasn't on insulin long enough. Keeping my fingers crossed because I know he could revert at any time. Leo says thanks for asking!

FelineFriend- Leo brings one in (that is when is isn't lounging and napping) and lets it loose in the house. It's up to me to catch the darn thing and you know how fast a mouse runs. He watches me chase the mouse. Don't know which is worse, letting them loose in the house or eating part of them in the house.

If you check UTube under Relax My Cat they have different ones for anxiety, sleep, etc. I have no idea how or why they are different but Leo seems to like the music. I love listening to them too.
