    Yesterday

    Good Evening, L&LL,

Another very busy day in cold, damp weather (the bike ride took place, but it was freezing!). Rusty ate well today and continues to eat well this evening.
Thanks for the tip on drawing 1/2 drop (@Wendy&Neko ; @Judy and Boomer )
I tried it this morning with a Monoject. First I did a trial run and saw that the technique produced 1/2 drop without squeezing any insulin out. So I used a new syringe, just to be precise, and gave the shot. I don't think it produced enough duration, and I don't think it produced any green (I was out until the mid afternoon, so this is not conclusive). So I guess it is back to the drawing board. Tomorrow I will have time to try out some of the other brands of syringe. In the meantime this evening I used the old method with eyeballing and calipers. We'll see at the bedtime test. Stay tuned.

    Wishing everyone a good evening

Great to hear Rusty is eating better!!...maybe he likes the fall temperatures? (even if they are a little too cool for biking!)

I'll be watching to see how your latest experiment with the syringes works out! It sure would be nice to get some kind of consistency!!

Yo Rusty!! Come on down to da lagoon and paddle wif me!! Maybe we's can do a tandem surfing demo later on tonight? ~ LagoonMeisterin China

What about trying it with BD syringes? I think you said you have some?

Now I'm curious about the before bed test number.

I'm sure you kept fairly warm biking, don't you have hills to keep you warm? For the first time in several years, our regatta was dry with flat water. At least until the boats were loaded and gone and DH and I were on the water lifting buoys. Then the lightning showed up.

    Tomorrow!
102 is a pretty good number for +4. He'll probably get green tonight. Now we'll see about duration tomorrow morning.
The hills were long, gradual ones, not the short, steep ones (that I hate!). The wind was fierce, so it was hard to stay warm. I had all my NYC winter cycling clothes on.
How did you do in the regatta? Glad you didn't get zapped while lifting buoys!

Not many entries in our quad's category, but our time was good. With age handicapping beat the junior/high school boys and girls boats by quite a bit. DH won his singles race. Happy and tired tonight.

I'm so happy to read that Rusty ate well today. Guess food tastes better on the beach than in the water?
