Hi everyone, I haven't been posting much lately because I haven't been feeling well. Had a ct today and it's a kidney stone ugggggh! Hopefully we can get this taken care of and I'll be back to my old tricks soon.

Anywayyyy, what do you think of Fluffles trial? I'm feeling a little iffy about the blues? I plan to test again tonight in a few hours to see if it comes down. Also, I haven't gotten the feeder yet so I'm just feeding him am and pm. And more and more I feel like he would do would do better with smaller meals spread out. Tonight I was almost an hour late feeding him (so almost 13 hours). Not sure if this could have an effect on glucose. Anyone have any thoughts about his ss?

Sorry about the kidney stone. Hope you are feeling better soon! :bighug:
I'm not sure about the blue numbers. Hope he comes back down for you and is able to continue his OTJ trail. Come on Fluffles ... think green. :D

I hope he comes back down so you don't have to stop! But also I think the variation on the meters is like +/-20, right? So a blue here and there might not indicate a pattern.

thanks, Gizmo was such a plump kitten that we often called him Chubs, which just kinda turned into Chubba.

I'd really be working on getting a snack in at about +9 (I know you're working on the autofeeder which will help)

It sure looks like Fluffles pancreas is working because when he eats, his numbers come down

Lots of times, by feeding a snack around +9, you'll stimulate the pancreas to produce it's own insulin and bring those PS numbers down

Chiming in to say this has been working for me! The other day I set an alarm to give her a 4:30 snack and I've gotten evening pre-shot numbers in the 70s for two days in a row now.

Ditto on the +9 snack. Get a +2 tonight to make sure that he comes back down to greens. Hope you feel better! Kidney stones are not fun. :bighug:

Ooh, sorry about the kidney stone! :blackeye: No fun at all!!

Fluffles appears to be doing quite well! The feeder would probably help when you can get it...it made a great difference in Darwin to feed smaller meals more often.
