(Let's being with yesterday's last message that I posted at 3:12AM after getting back from the hospital, I've got a decent gag or too in there, pity to waste them):

Wife said I had to go home and get some sleep so she made me leave... Translate this to mean I was bugging her and she wanted peace and quiet. Alley gave PMPS at 75 before the very reduced (1.75U) shot Friday evening. +3 and +9 at 64 and 59, so nice numbers tonight [Edit: Saturday 1/6 AMPS @ 68].

Alley's tendency is to react to changes most noticeably about 2 cycles/24 hours after the change, so if she starts putting up higher numbers from the 0.75U drop, I'm expecting to see it start to manifest Saturday evening. Alley is also back to full appetite, eating like the feline/porcine (literally cat/pig) hybrid she's always been (she throws bits far and wide) in her typical mealtime orgy of "NOM NOM NOM!"

With the critical shortage of hospital beds, there's a good chance my wife will be released Saturday and sent home with an oxygen concentrator since she's responded very well to supplemental oxygen. Her hypoxemia was very severe, dangerously severe, with 78% SO2 Friday morning which has since improved to around 92 - 93% with 3 LPM oxygen, still a bit low but above the clinical hypoxemia range which kicks in at <90%.

Never a dull moment... now where do I go to complain? Lol.

I'm glad your wife is breathing better. I hope she gets over this quickly. Glad Alley is enjoying her food again. I hope she surfs safely today. Sending prayers.

I'm glad your wifes breathing has improved. Continued vines.
There have been some nasty flu bugs this side of the pond too, so far we've managed to avoid them (anti jinx).

Nice numbers last night and this morning. Hope the reduction has the desired effect and she comes up a little higher to give you peace of mind, but doesn't soar to the moon.

It's been a bit easier taking care of Alley today than I'd expected. Wife is still in hospital and feeling much better, but she's told me that hospital prefers that with the current flu situation that visitation to be limited if the patient isn't critically ill. In other words, if the patient isn't on their way out (metaphysically speaking), please stay away.

Alley is now on her 3rd shot at 1.75U, which was the reduced dosage in anticipation of being busy with visiting/taking care of my wife in the hospital... Once she gets out, I'm sure I'll be put to work on nurse duty, but for now, kinda boring and Alley is doing her thing where she sits and stares at me like she wants something but she won't say what it is but the joke is on her because I know that thing she wants is that thing she always wants... food.

Thing is... Alley is holding green like a champ even three cycles into 1.75U now.... almost identical to 2.5U except without the drops into the 30s and 40s.

Could I be looking at a quick resolution to Alley's diabetic relapse now that the cookie jar lid* has been slammed shut on her?

I would be careful. It looks like she's taking those reductions quite nicely. Can you get a +1 and a +2 to start today's cycle?
