    Hi Everyone,

Rusty had a much better day of breathing. His appetite was OK. He has NDW (New Dose Wonkiness), it seems. But his numbers now are so affected by the steroid that it could be anything. We are up to 0.5U, and it sure is easy to measure! Tomorrow morning we have our follow-up with the vet.

Very cold here today. (-17 degrees F this morning; it got up to about +7). I did not have the day I had planned. Yesterday evening Edward knocked a huge Christmas Cactus off it's stand and I spent the whole day on a much-needed "plant day": trimming the philodendrons (which were like the one in the old Hepburn-Tracy movie "Desk Set"), the kalanchoes, Pit (our 45-year-old avocado), and the spider plant. The catnip plant had died and I didn't even notice (Rusty ignores catnip, so it was just sort of hanging on). Now the two upstairs rooms where the plants live are spotless, and you can actually see out the windows!

Yesterday I downloaded the latest version of the Mac Operating System. I had been apprehensive because my MacBook Air is a few years old and has been running the OS it came with--about 5 updates ago. Anyway, I decided it was time, especially in the uncertainties in the cyber world. There were no real problems at all!! Hooray!! Just a couple of things that had to be re-set.

Now I am going downstairs to hold Rusty's bowl. He had a good "steam" this afternoon.

I'm glad Rusty's breathing is better today. I hope his appy picks up and the new dose helps his numbers come down. Sending good vetty vines for tomorrow.
