    Hi Everyone,

I am pleased to report this morning that Rusty is much improved. His eyes and nose are very good, he is purring again, he ate almost all of his breakfast so far, and sipped a little of my homemade chicken broth. I hope (anti jinx) that he has turned a corner. Rusty had a good night sleeping between his beans with his head on his little green pillow. He licked the broth off his Paw Lickin' Chicken, but didn't eat any of his other nighttime fuds. But his breathing was silent (!). This morning he schmoozed with me on the couch while I read the NY Times. He grazed on his RAWZ chicken breakfast.
I am still shooting a skinny 0.25U (0.15mm on the calipers), which is just a tiny bit larger than our dose before the steroid shot (0.14mm).

Thank you all again for the vines and the support. You guys are terrific!

Edward and I are going for a walk after lunch. Tonight is our mountain club's monthly potluck. I'm down for a dessert and will bring xmas cookies (made way too many this year, so have lots left!).

(((((Ella, Rusty and Edward))))) With every single body part crossed as well as the paws of my two kittens, YAAAAAYYYY Rusty!!! (anti-jinx, anti-jinx, anti-jinx.......)

I did not see your yesterday condo until just now, so glad to read both!! Yummy rissotto, great idea! Rissotto the traditional way is a real pain, but now I will have to try it in the instant pot, thx!

Sending continuing healing vines and prayers for Rusty! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: Rusty, no swimming with the sharks, okay?:cat:

Fabulous that Rusty is feeling better. Enjoy your walk.

(I attempted to wing a boeuf carbonnade in the instant pot. It was a waste of a fine Belgian beer.)

It totally made my day when I saw your subject line, and I was even happier when I read your first post. :woot: Such a relief.

The paws here are still crossed, good breathing and appy vines still headed your way. No such thing as too many vines.

That is great news. Continued healing vines and prayers for Rusty. I may take a look at the Instant Pot if it makes cooking easier.

Rusty continued his good day. Keep it up, Mr. Cat! He ate a good portion of his dinner already tonight. Later he sneezed a sneeze of old: 18 times in a row. That seems to have subdued him. He's resting in his basket.

Potluck was good and well attended.

    Back later with an update.

Not so good this evening. I think he inhaled some of his dinner, because the sneezing began immediately after he had eaten. Rusty has only 5 teeth, so he doesn't chew his food and only eats paté, but he does scarf it down. I hope if there is food up his nose that it will dissolve tonight.

    Thinking positively here!

Oh dear! I sure hope that doesn't lead to pneumonia! Rusty, no inhaling your food!

    More vines and prayers.

I hope so, too. Rusty has done this sort of thing many, many times, however.

For my lot, dried catnip was good for a nose clearing sneeze.
