    Yesterday

Now I'm home with a cup of tea , I've realised I am actually feeling a bit scared underneath it all.

Ty did a good , quite well formed poop last evening around 6pm. Onward from that though , overnight and early this morning was the return of the squits . Whether over feeding, the food itself or something I am yet to find out , I do not know.

Vet was brilliant and had been prepared to not do the biopsies if I had reported that the stools had become much more normal. I could not and so it is being done as I type.

Vet offered for me to stay and be there , which was very kind but really that would have been for me , not for Tyler & IMVHO, a professional does not need the anxiety of an owner in the way whilst trying to perform a procedure calmly and efficiently. Neither does Tyler need me to be around confusing him with a thought I'm there so it must be home time, so I have come home to wait. Ty will likely stay overnight.

I am aware that it is rare for anyone to be invited to be present for such things so I hold that to my heart.

I hope that the procedure goes well and the vet finds the answer - a good answer, mind - to the problem.

Waiting is never easy. A cup of tea is a good idea.

"Evening All" , as Dixon of Dock Green used to say when I was a young'un. ( Google is your friend)

First of all I wish to say that this is a very very sad day for Alicia who has lost her Maggie so in a way it doesn't feel right to impinge upon her loss . Not that others who have sadly loss their pusscats mean any less at all, they are equally of care, just that Maggie is on this day in time.

Ty has had the needle biopsies and no cancer was detected from that procedure. This is a big relief as that was the major suspicion. His pancreas however remains very inflamed. We talked gall bladder, bile, pancreas, liver.

Ty was admitted to hospital on pain meds and fluids. I don't know if he will be home tomorrow. The eye ulcer is being treated , as the organ biopsies came back clear. Had they not , then Ty would have been spared the treatment for the eye & we would perhaps have been talking end life care.

His white cell count is high, likely due to the inflammation. He's had a panel of blood tests again but as this is now the weekend , the results will not be back for a few days. I hope he can come home before this.

Try again to level the pancreatitis out . Vet is now considering a steroid injection I think, despite the fact this is dangerous for Ty given his other issues. I will be having another read of all the tome of stuff he gave me.

Today I learnt Ty's mother Muffin died a few years back in Switzerland as a result of being run over . She did emigrate.
Today I learnt that his sibling sister, Phoebes, passed away a few months ago. No. She didn't emigrate. She lived a very English town life.

    It's a funny old life.

Whew!! Well despite the possibility of other problems, at least the big C is out of the picture!

Hopefully he'll respond quickly and be home again soon!

So glad the biopsies showed no cancer! I can't remember so forgive me for asking - have you tried an antibiotic for the pancreatitis? When my Trixie had a bad bout several years ago, my vet said they are starting to find about 50% of pancreatitis cases are caused by a bacterial infection. Of course the high white blood cell count also points towards an infection, too. Prayers he can come home soon!
