Hi all the vet had me up Cocoa's dose from 1.0 units to 1.5 units since his number were still in the mid 300 to high 400's. His numbers were as follows:

    AMPS 461, +4 342, +5 385, +7 386, +9 368, PMPS 311.

I am little worried that his PMPS was 311 and I still gave him the 1.5 units. Do you think this was a wise thing to do?

311 is a pretty high number, as are all of his other numbers, nothing to worry about giving a full dose. Do you have ketostix? Are you testing for ketones? It would be a very good idea to do so since the numbers are so high. You can get them at just about any pharmacy over the counter.

Any pharmacy that carries diabetic supplies should have urine ketone test strips.

WalMart has Relion Urine Ketone test strips if you have one nearby

They are a lot cheaper than the brand name Ketostix and do the exact same thing
