I guess Rusty bounced, but is now back--sort of--on track. Never smelled Lev. Today, while I was out on the snowshoe hike, Rusty and Edward enjoyed each other's company. Rusty ate pretty well (finished his lunch when I got home). His breathing, however, is still noisy.

It was a beautiful, sunny late-winter day today. The sky was a brilliant blue and the shadows of the forest on the snow were stunning. We did about 6 miles alongside the Racquette River, ate our lunch at a lean-to with a view of the river, and returned. Snow was about 8 inches deep. A fine day to remember, since bad weather is on the way. Right now we're just hoping we'll be able to drive to NYC on Friday. The snowstorm is supposed to wind down late Thursday night (it will begin some time tomorrow). We may get up to a foot of wet snow. Maybe we'll postpone our trip to Saturday. We'll see.

Going downstairs now to hold Rusty's dinner bowl. bbl,

p.s. we broke trail by the person at the front of the line counting to 100, stepping aside, and moving to the rear of the line while the next person took over. Sharing the load!

Easy breathing vines for Rusty!! We've got the lovely Nor'easter coming tomorrow...up to 12". Ugh...for us, it's been a nice, almost snow-less winter. We haven't recovered from the damage of last weekend's nor'easter...enough already!!
