I have stalled an hour and Timmy is only at 103. I hate to skip, but...I could stall a little longer and hope he spikes... @Kris & Teasel

Hmmm....it doesn't look like Kris is online right now. Her favorite trick was to feed and then retest. Do you have flexibility in your schedule the next few days to walk the shot time back if you shoot a couple of hours late? Prozinc rarely lasts more than 14 hours, and i'm guessing you're at +13 now, so the rise should be coming soon. If you can stay up a bit longer and shoot a little later-than-usual in the morning, you could keep trying tonight. What do you think?

I am about 30 min past +13. I was really surprised that he didn't come up after that stall. I will go ahead and keep stalling so I can shoot. He hasn't eaten, but so far he is okay with me distracting him. I don't want to feed him before I shoot because I want his true number, so it is going to be fun at my house tonight! ;) He is doing really well and I feel like a no shot will set us back. He is going to bounce with the lows today anyway. Thank you so much. :)

Yes, I used that feed, wait 30-45 minutes, retest and give a lower dose trick a few times with Teasel on ProZinc. It kept me from missing a shot.

At +13.5 he was 152. I'll test again at +14, which is in about 15 min.

Ha! He was fine curled up with me, but now he is starting to look for his food. He hasn't started "talking" nonstop...yet, but it is coming quickly. When he is lower, dark greens, he starts acting all weird and quiet, very unTimmy-like. If he was in higher numbers he would not stand for this waiting.

Have you decided what to do? Are you going to keep stalling for now?

He is now at 304 and I was able to give him his full dose. Yes! I will get some checks in through the night to make sure everything is good. If was funny because as soon as he started "talking" about how displeased he was about this eating situation, I tested him and sure enough he was in the 300's. I'm just so glad I didn't have to skip his dose tonight. Thank you guys for hanging out with me while I stalled. I appreciate you all so much.

Sometimes just having a "friend" to talk to during a stall is nice! It can get lonely...and kind of nerve wracking!

I know this seems left field... but is he trying to tell you he has a UTI? Maji got on a new couch 2 yrs ago, right in front of me squatted and peed then ran off - I was like wtf?

Then I realized she had a UTI - I know it’s far fetched but is it possible that this seems like a message...?

There is no left field with me, all thoughts and ideas are welcome. I appreciate your input.

When he first started the litter box "thing" I immediately thought UTI so off to the vet he went. It was negative and the vet did something called a senior blood panel, which I need to get a copy of it so I can post, but the vet said everything was normal. In this thread IS cystitis was mentioned, so I am doing "homework" on that so I can get a handle on it. Over the past 2 days though he has been using the litter box. I moved one of the other litter boxes so they are side by side, and that is working for now, so for the moment there is a break. I'm still scratching my head though.;)
