The link above is to last night's post about Sally's hypo. Gave 0.50U this morning, she did not want much to eat, turned away. Mid morning she went to her dish and ate a very small amount but was more lively eating, it just didn't last long. She's been sleeping all day, her +8 was 404. What should I do with the dose if she isn't interested in dinner or eats very little? She's due for a shot in an hour.

She just got up from her long afternoon sleep, sat up but then laid back down. She's purring and flipping her tail around. Granted, she has always spent most of the day sleeping.
I 'm guessing I should do the bg, and feed her and base the dose on how high the bg is and how much she eats? Or if she eats a minimum amount give her the whole dose? Still haven't slept from yesterday so don't trust myself at this point. Am I doing any harm if she doesn't want to eat and I give her even a token 0.25? If the bg is still 400's or 300's she would still need the insulin, yes?

I stalled on giving the injection till she ate almost 3/4 of her can of FF. She was almost as animatecd as she usually is for meals. We decided since we don't know what's available in the depot from the 0.75, and she only ate maybe 1/2 what she normally eats today, and her pmps was 333 we would be conservative and give 0.25 tonight. I gave that at around 7:50 tonight. Usual shot time is 7:30 and this morning when I gave the 0.50 it was about 7:45-7:50. She 's resting on the bed in her usual spot now, as she normally does.
